DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 If everything holds constant the rest of tonight, as ****ty as the twins have played lately they will be 1.5 games out of the wild card and 1 game back from the Angels. If they can manage to win tomorrow (Sunday) they suddenly are pretty much exactly where they were after the solid road trip. May the least choke artist team win?

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Astros finally won a game, so we are 2.5 back.
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I choose to enjoy the fact that we are still in playoff contention with two weeks left. Way better than I expected going into this season.
Kwak Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Sunday's game is win or else. The Angels travel to Houston for three games--and somebody has to win.

Badsmerf Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I've been pretty consistent about keeping the faith. I'm over it. Twins are not making the playoffs this year. The pitching staff is in shambles.
theBOMisthebomb Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 They still have a puncher's chance - they have been in most (if not all) of the games during this 5 game skid. Let's see how it plays out.

Let's see how it plays out.True, but it seems they might be better off punching people, instead of trying to hit baseballs.

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Could you imagine if the Twins make a game 163 and toss out Nolasco or Pelfrey to start the game? That is actually a semi realistic possibility.
