I wish Dick (who I don't mind, generally) would learn to pronounce Berrios as it is said in Spanish. The emphasis is on the first syllable, and you roll the r's if you can (but never mind that part). Would it be so hard to get a little advice before you speak someone's name before an audience of thousands?

So I made the 6 hour trek to Buffalo yesterday for the National Buffalo Wing Festival.

Here's my Conclusion.

1. While most would be put off by the drive across Michigan and Southern Ontario. I like long drives so to me it was like a Sunday Drive on a Saturday.

2. As much as I love Buffalo Wings and I do... I love them enough to drive 6 hours both ways for a festival. As much as I love them... Hot Wings outdoors on a 90 degree day is a bad combination. Unless you like sweat and wing sauce all over your clothing. It ended up fairly uncomfortable.

3. Wings start tasting the same after 15 of them.

4 I'm glad I did it... But I won't do it again.

5. I'm having Hamburger Helper for Lunch today

Brian, I have learned a lot from your food travels this summer. Nothing is as good as advertised on 1/2 hour TV programs. The food dream is dead.

How would you vote for the Cy Young in both leagues?

Greinke in the NL

Kuechel in the AL

After this game... I'm switching my vote to Duffey in the AL

Next weekend what kind of food will you be eating? Is there a festival somewhere to go to?

I'm thinking Sunday

and I'm thinking a Chicago Dog or Deep Dish Pizza.

I will say tho, that official scoring is not as tough as it use to be, but still that was a hit all the way.

Not saying it wasn't a hit...no way Plouffe gets Altuve if he fields it cleanly.  Someone said maybe it should be an error and I said if anything, maybe a single and error.  But Plouffe had to lay out to get a full glove on it.

I've done Deep Pizza... The Chicago Dog and Al's Italian Beef. So at this point... I'm asbolutely open to suggestions.

I haven't ordered to tickets... we should be able to walk up and get some decent seats... Correct?

If I were in college and serious about a baseball broadcasting career I'd want to be able not just to pronounce Hispanic names properly but speak the language. Same goes for a playing career for that matter.

It isn't dead, but wings don't always live up to their hype. Especially hyper hype.

Escobar makes it 2-0.

And these festivals are large numbers, making the individual attention that makes food best a bit difficult.

Vindication for me... Steadfastly clinging to the thought that Escobar deserved the starting job after last year.

He should scarf all he can at the Hamburger Helper Hoot in Bern, Ind.

Oh, yeah ... shouldn't be a problem at all ... football season is upon Chicago, and even though the Bears will likely suck this year, most White Sox fans have abandoned ship.

Find a hundred year old, family owned Italian restaurant, and have veal parm.

Don't go to College. You will need to go to food pantry's for a while tho.

Is that really a thing? It sounds just ridiculous enough that it probably is.

I was thinking of that when I posted - and I believe you 110%! :)

We're brewing tomorrow, if you and James, and co want to check it out.
