A number of years ago I found a passable imitation recipe on the internet. It's about the only beef meal loved by a member of my family who's nearly vegetarian.

If you don't mind... PM me with it. If it doesn't involve refrigeration for 15 days like the ones I found on the internet. I'll give it a shot.

It's the weird stuff on Triple D that's dead.

However... The Iconic stuff is usually Iconic for a reason.

1. Maine Lobster -- It does taste different then the Red Lobster Lobsters in South Dakota... I don't know why or how but the difference is incredible.

2. Katz Deli New York - They can make a sandwich

3. Cincinatti Chili - Brilliant Idea... Do it 5 way

4. Italian Beef Chicago - Worth the funny stance you must take to eat it.

5. Kansas City Barbecue - Without it... You'd drive right through and not stop.

6. Texas Brisket -- Served on Paper and just fantastic.

7. Minnesota Casserole - I haven't had a good casserole since I moved away.

I have done #4, #6 and obviously #7.

#4 and #6 are definitely legendary and are the Real McCoy... I take #7 for neglect.

Rib cookoff in Reno this weekend. I can't make it down there, but number two son is in town for the long weekend and will sample the wares.

Alright... I'll get in the car and go.

The guys at work, when I mentioned Al's Beef, especially the location we ate at ... they were almost ... incredulous. They said it was the worst of all the Al's Beef and that we should've gone to Portillo's instead.

I stand corrected.

I guess i've just eaten wings as snacks late at night in lieu of a full meal, and probably from an establishment making their money on the beverage to drowned the ultra spicy flavor...
My thoughts should be put in the same place as "popcorn does not a meal make" advice.

"Just speculatin' upon a hypothesis. You know i don't know nuthin'."

No, you are right. Most of the wings out there are pretty pedestrian, which is a shame, and a waste of wings. Anything can be awesome, with a little effort.

Sano needs to take a day or 2 off and Molitor needs to recognize this.  He is obviously in pain, and now it is hurting the team.  He will be fine in the long run, but just needs time to heal.

I liked it... But the only way to prove or disprove is to try it.

It's a shame Hot Doug's closed before your trek. That place was amazing! Talk about iconic Chicago eateries.

The Deer that come to visit me are back.

I like watching them but I can't move or they will run away.

A Baby Deer is appoximately 15 feet from me.

Maine lobsters come from their natural ocean environment, while South Dakota lobster is grass fed. Thus, the flavor.

My first experience with Maine lobsters was to take so long managing to get shells off, that it was cold and rubbery.

But once that manual dexterity is mastered, it's good stuff.

I'm always blown away how good butter tastes with seafood...

At first I almost fell for the impersonation, but then I realized my mistake. Not old enough.

I know this might be hard to believe, but I photoshopped his face to make him look a good amount younger.

I thought that you used one of his baby pictures.

I miss the vast, peaceful herds of lobster that used to roam the plains in their millions. Native American tribes made use of the entire animal, constructing tools and dwellings from their chitinous exoskeletons...

,,,and Duffy has all his buddys in the park watching his masterpiece...cause, according to GMC, a pitcher that paints the corners is known as a Rembrant. I'd a called him a Mike Angelo.

Not a bad outing by Extra E. Been using his Cosmic Mind Bender to get a ton of outs. Only Altuve seems able to make solid contact with it. Clever little rascal!

yeah when Sano check swings, it's a slump

Morris was talking about how a great hitter can set up a pitcher. Dallas Keuchel has now struck out Miguel Sano twice with a big, inside curve. See if Keuchel tries it again next at-bat. See if Sano figures it out.
