how is that supposed to be comforting to tell someone before going to bed?  By the way, don't let the boogie man get ya.   :jump:

Make it rhyme, and your in business...

Like um...

"As down to sleep i setcha.

How much should i betcha

the boogie man won't getcha?"

Well I guess that beats picking their noses.

They can at least watch the game while picking their noses.  It's hard to do that while napping or picking daisies.  Plus we might get to use the old "How'd he break his finger? He got hit in the nose" joke.

I love crows. It's fun to watch them assemble and attack any raptor that enters the neighborhood.

Concur.

Yeah, i suppose crows, but if you told me it was a raven, i'd not be on solid ground to dispute.

Likewise owls... Or ducks, geese, etc. I take that back. I bet i'd hold to my guns if i heard a loon and someone disputed it with me.

Loony, that's it. Not gonna confuse the state bird.

Winnah, winnah, Chicken Dinnah!!

I stand corrected. I'd be hard pressed to mistake a chicken for a turkey, i think.

Or a chicken hawk. No matter what Foghorn Leghorn would say...

But in the form of dinnah, well, i've been told many things taste like chicken.

The Baltimore pundits frothed at the mouth over Duffey's curve. But they also noted that Miguel Gonzales had a great start to the year but couldn't keep it up.

A lot of posters wanted Berrios. Now I'm curious about Duffey. That he is unknown must have been a benefit. Does his minor league history affirm that he's good enough to start indefinitely?

The best part of last night's game was hearing Cory Provus and Danny Gladden talk about how frustrated the Oriole Hitters were. The Twins have had better starting pitching this year than they have had in awhile, but this is the first time in a long time that I can recall hearing that the opposing hitters were getting frustrated, throwing down their helmets, etc. Great performance from Duffey!

Reply hazy, try again later.

That's my take on Duffey right now. His MiLB numbers were decent but far from eye-popping. He was drafted out of college but never thrived at missing bats. He has shown to be very good at preventing the walk, which is necessary from a college guy who doesn't have overpowering stuff.

In short, it's hard to say. Right now, his only plus pitch is that nasty curve. The rest of his stuff is pretty pedestrian (but under the tutelage of Allen, one can hope that change will improve). Will hitters adjust and spot the curve coming out of his hand as film is compiled on Tyler? Only time will tell, I suppose.

Yeah … the test is always going to be … how does he fare when he starts to see the same teams a 2nd and 3rd time?

But nice job last night.
