gil4 Verified Member Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 "ice cream correspondent" There seem to be a lot of people trying to take your job tonight. (Braum's Peanut Butter Cup for me. No maple syrup required.) Hosken Bombo Disco and twinsnorth49 2
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 This Zobrist guy reminds me of Ben Zobrith. Used to play for the Rays.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 If Oakland doesn't score this series, I can see us taking 2 of 3. twinsnorth49, Richie the Rally Goat, LaBombo and 3 others 6
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Just a $.69 cone from McDonalds for me tonight (two actually). Boring I know but as Jim Gaffigan says, you dont' want to lose money on a deal like that. glunn, SwainZag, JB_Iowa and 3 others 6

LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) Do home plate umpires ever get concussions? Do you mean like, during the game? 'Cause if you've ever seen them in their natural habitat after the game, there's cause for concern there too. Edited July 18, 2015 by LaBombo glunn and twinsnorth49 2

I wouldn't tell her because I'd lose my free ice cream privileges. I'd like to though because she's a Jays fan. Hosken Bombo Disco, glunn, Willihammer and 1 other 4

LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) Suzuki proving that small catchers can be glacially slow too. A's 3b had time to bobble ball, bat it like a kitten with yarn, make and eat a turkey and avocado sandwich, check his email, and get a good start on an Eckersley 'stache before his throw, and it was still just a step behind the Zukester, albeit in the wrong zip code. Seeing him gather himself for the trip to second on the throwing error was like watching a wagon train prepare to move out. And yes, maybe that's overly negative at the end of a nice win, but it's taking my mind off of Duensing's pitching. Edited July 18, 2015 by LaBombo twinsnorth49, glunn, David HK and 1 other 4
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Duensing has looked solid as of late, I wouldn't trust him in a 3-2 game in the 8th or prob even the 7th, but him keeping this up somehow would go a long ways in to help stabilizing the middle relief. With Rourke up and May in the pen, I am of the mind that getting a solid and reliable 8th inning guy like Benoit would make me feel pretty damn good about this pen. gil4 and glunn 2

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Maple syrup idea shows real promise. Too lazy to deal with coffee. There were plenty o' other good ideas (especially more ice cream and floats) Personally i'm a sucker for caramel/butterscotch, though i think i'm out, which is why i was askin'... Never could figured out what distinguished sprinkles from jimmies, and i'm not sure i have either either... Sorry i nodded off for a moment. The grand slam jarred me awake briefly, though it took me a while to realize the bases were loaded. Thanks all! USAFChief, glunn and twinsnorth49 3
