jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Gibson walks into the dugout... "Just get me three more, guys, and I guarantee the win!"
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Patrick Reusse has said that one of the great things about baseball is that no matter how many games you've seen there's a chance that you can see something you've never seen before. I've never seen a run score by a strike out. And in related news, Hawk Harrelson said that one of the great things about baseball is that no matter how many games he sees the White Sox play, they still bite.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Is Wieters OK? He's really struggling catching today.Yeh, he's been looking like he's worn out all day, missing pitches, etc. It may be fork time for him, too.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 OK, I'm putting my faith in Gibby and the rest that they can hold this lead. Makes it safe to switch over and watch the All Blacks vs. Samoa.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 @kevinoDandC: Guess who just homered again for the #ROCRedWings. Yep, Oswaldo Arcia. 382 feet to the opposite field. 5th in 7 games.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Duensing has hisself a 1-2-3 inning. And the score remaineth 8-2 halfway through 7 innings. (That would be "stretch" time?)
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Sano... Leading off... Let's see how he does.

Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Very pleasant to have a laugher against what had been a pretty hot team. Two wins in a row, looks like. Baby steps.

David HK Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 CBU rugby update- NZ 12- Samoa 3 at halftime. First 5 minutes, already more action and more hits than the average entire NFL game.Had to come back to watch the new lefty--- not bad, so far.

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I was going to say after Sunday's game that I took a lot of positives away from the series: 1)Mauer starting to heat up2)Thompson proving he didn't belong3)KC has 40% of their rotation made up of Blanton and Guthrie (and Duffy isn't getting it done)4)Ervin Santana is for real.5)Sano is going to score some runs for this team. I think the Twins could give KC a fight for the division. Now, Buxton, get healthy.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Is Gibson turning into a strikeout pitcher? Last 9 starts: 58.1 IP, 53 Ks.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Is Gibson turning into a strikeout pitcher? Last 9 starts: 58.1 IP, 53 Ks.I heard Hunter took him under his wing a couple months back so, if he has become a strikeout pitcher, all the credit goes to Hunter. :-)
