So, I get home after running around for a bit and the Twins are up 3-zip.

 

More mlb.tv magic. I sort of thought that Mr. Sano might have hit his first home run. I was not disappointed.

 

The run scored by Joe was heads up baseball.

Patrick Reusse has said that one of the great things about baseball is that no matter how many games you've seen there's a chance that you can see something you've never seen before. I've never seen a run score by a strike out.

You obviously haven't been watching much Little League baseball these days.

Perhaps not.

 

But that was an instance where i think Hicks could have made contact with the person without the ball, drawing an interference call.

 

(Which is my guess why there was a delayed out call)

Best of both worlds today-  Twinkies playing winning ball, and Thorne and Palmer on the broadcast.  Come on now, young man!  Do some more damage!  :)

RBI.  Man, he looks SO much more comfortable and confident at the plate than the other young'uns we've brought up so far.  Exceedingly small sample size, but I'm going out on a limb here, and saying it looks like the young man is up here to stay.

And Jerry James Hardy hits a 2-run HR.

 

Doesn't hurt quite as much when the Twins have 8 as in all these low-scoring games lately.

 

But the insurance runs were helpful.
