Game Thread: Orioles @ Twins, 7/7/2015

[Craig Arko]

There is a lot of movement on Gibson's pitches. Lad is in a groove.

[Blake]

So, I get home after running around for a bit and the Twins are up 3-zip.

More mlb.tv magic. I sort of thought that Mr. Sano might have hit his first home run. I was not disappointed.

The run scored by Joe was heads up baseball.

[Linus]

Hicks has toned down the leg kick on the left side

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Hicks on second.

As expected.

[NoCryingInBaseball]

Nice having a center fielder that can hit!

[AlwaysinModeration]

Patrick Reusse has said that one of the great things about baseball is that no matter how many games you've seen there's a chance that you can see something you've never seen before. I've never seen a run score by a strike out.

You obviously haven't been watching much Little League baseball these days.

[NoCryingInBaseball]

Well, Hicks advanced both runners into scoring position.

[Linus]

Not a good challenge

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Not a good challenge

Perhaps not.

But that was an instance where i think Hicks could have made contact with the person without the ball, drawing an interference call.

(Which is my guess why there was a delayed out call)

[NoCryingInBaseball]

Sacrifice Fly for Dozier, making it 5-0....this is turning into a fun game....

[NoCryingInBaseball]

Load em up!

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Load em up!

For Sano.

[David HK]

Best of both worlds today-  Twinkies playing winning ball, and Thorne and Palmer on the broadcast.  Come on now, young man!  Do some more damage!

[NoCryingInBaseball]

That works for me!

[spinowner]

Another RBI for Sano.

[JB_Iowa]

And Sano walks....

And a run comes in!

[sampleSizeOfOne]

RBI Walk for Sano.

Rosario now up...

Second verse, same as the first...

[David HK]

RBI.  Man, he looks SO much more comfortable and confident at the plate than the other young'uns we've brought up so far.  Exceedingly small sample size, but I'm going out on a limb here, and saying it looks like the young man is up here to stay.

[Squirrel]

You obviously haven't been watching much Little League baseball these days.

Lol. Nope.

[Squirrel]

And Sano walks....

And a run comes in!

That was really an impressive walk.

[Squirrel]

Cmon, Rosie!

[JB_Iowa]

Twins still need to work on baserunning

But what a great game this is.

[Danchat]

Is Wieters OK? He's really struggling catching today.

[Richie the Rally Goat]

Cmon, Rosie!

i say that to my daughter everyday

[jimmer]

Mauer: 3 PA, 3 times on base, 3 times scored.

[JB_Iowa]

Dozier getting a lot of endorsements..... Heyman @ CBS, Olney @ ESPN; Castrovince @ MLB.com.

Hope it helps get votes from people who don't really have a pick.

[DaveW]

First Twins game I have been to at Target Field this year. Your welcome!

[Squirrel]

i say that to my daughter everyday

Heh. I said that a lot to a former car of mine.

[jimmer]

Our welcome what? :-)

[JB_Iowa]

And Jerry James Hardy hits a 2-run HR.

Doesn't hurt quite as much when the Twins have 8 as in all these low-scoring games lately.

But the insurance runs were helpful.
