Miguel Sano's first career homer left the bat at 108 mph and went 396 feet, per Statcast data. He also has a hit in all 6 games he's played.

Parmelee doubles to lead off.Advances to 3rd on a ground out.Can Gibson strand another runner at 3rd w/ 1 out?Stay tuned...

But of course.

Am I wrong, or did it look like DanSan stood there and watched his ground ball for a second?

Yes he did wait. Cost him a hit

I'm really glad to have tuned in tonight.  See Sano's first bomb, and then see that play - Gibson throws 'em out on a strikeout.  Never seen that before.

Patrick Reusse has said that one of the great things about baseball is that no matter how many games you've seen there's a chance that you can see something you've never seen before. I've never seen a 1-3 putout on a strikeout before.

Sano now hitting .445/.544/.722. OPS 1.266.

Small sample size?

Yes, but he is that guy who can strike fear into a pitcher. Haven't had that since Thome.

...and, another one.  I think Wieters got crossed up, looked like he was thinking fastball.  Still, one heck of an entertaining play for Twinkie fans!

Twins get a run on a strikeout ... Rosario strikes out swinging but reaches on a passed ball to allow Mauer to score from third. Up 4-0.

After 3.

I have, actually. I saw it happen a few years ago when Michael Restovich was on the team. He's the one who struck out and reached base which allowed a run to score. It may have even been a walk-off win
