I was going to say after Sunday's game that I took a lot of positives away from the series:

 

1)Mauer starting to heat up

2)Thompson proving he didn't belong

3)KC has 40% of their rotation made up of Blanton and Guthrie (and Duffy isn't getting it done)

4)Ervin Santana is for real.

5)Sano is going to score some runs for this team.

 

I think the Twins could give KC a fight for the division.

I'm really glad to have tuned in tonight.  See Sano's first bomb, and then see that play - Gibson throws 'em out on a strikeout.  Never seen that before.

The common element being Mauer... Is there anything he can't do?

Not gonna say much, but this is the first time since the first half of the 2010 season that the Twins had a legitimate clean-up hitter batting 4th in their line-up.

 

I don't know what position this guy will play long term and I am sure he will have his struggles at the plate in the near future. I will shrug that off and keep my cool as Sano is the real ****ing McCoy. The man has an aura that is undeniable.

 

P.S. A shout out to "Mike Wants Win". We finally have nice things!

That was really cool.  Hard not to love Trevor.  Putting those DJ skills to work as Dozier's campaign manager.
