sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Parmelee doubles to lead off. Advances to 3rd on a ground out. Can Gibson strand another runner at 3rd w/ 1 out? Stay tuned...

David HK Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Am I wrong, or did it look like DanSan stood there and watched his ground ball for a second?
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Sano now hitting .445/.544/.722. OPS 1.266. Small sample size?

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I'm really glad to have tuned in tonight. See Sano's first bomb, and then see that play - Gibson throws 'em out on a strikeout. Never seen that before.

I've never seen a 1-3 putout on a strikeout before....and, another one. I think Wieters got crossed up, looked like he was thinking fastball. Still, one heck of an entertaining play for Twinkie fans!

I've never seen a run score by a strike out.I have, actually. I saw it happen a few years ago when Michael Restovich was on the team. He's the one who struck out and reached base which allowed a run to score. It may have even been a walk-off win
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
