twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Radio call made it sound like an easy catch for Hicks. I thought he was going to get there, but it did hit off the wall...I think maybe we aren't giving this wind the credit it's due. My apologies, Oswaldo.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 It takes 30 seconds before it makes sense, but it's worth it. Uh huh. Uh huh.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Hitting and teeing off on his fast balls!Breaking stuff is hanging too. Great range by Florimon, but...
zchrz Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Hell of a play to track it and get it, but Florimon should have just let that drop.
Don't Feed the Greed Guy Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm hearing thunderclaps in Northern MN. Storm coming in? Or is that Nolasco getting lit up on the South Side?
Tibs Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Hell of a play to track it and get it, but Florimon should have just let that drop. What if he did that and the next pitch was a home run?
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 4 runs and 8 hits in 4 innings, Nolasco should fit right in!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I thought he was going to get there, but it did hit off the wall...I think maybe we aren't giving this wind the credit it's due. My apologies, Oswaldo. The wind here has picked up quite a bit. But I'm not sure that was the issue with Arcia.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Unbelievable bad luck for Nolasco! Maybe two or three well hit balls. Everything just seems to find a place to fall.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I like Hawk http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SONajH910dw/UF4q8Yg1nCI/AAAAAAAABts/e1RCjxkVhlw/s1600/Francis.jpg
zchrz Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Colabello's stance looks a lot quieter, I have high hopes he is going to have a good year.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Plouffe benefiting from the wind there. Like I said earlier, picks up likes it has been here all day, it could be really interesting.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Nolasco is getting his tits lit up Moderator's note: Standards in game threads are relaxed some, but not this relaxed.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm hearing thunderclaps in Northern MN. Storm coming in? Or is that Nolasco getting lit up on the South Side? Both. With a chance of scattered Deduno soon.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 If I had to choose between... Anteater or Armadillo. I'm going with the Anteater.
Boom Boom Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I like Hawk as another market's TV analyst because he's such a clown show. If I was a White Sox fan I'd probably hate it.
zchrz Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 "What if he did that and the next pitch was a home run?" What if he did and the next pitch was a pop up to the catcher, don't just hand them runs.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Hell of a play to track it and get it, but Florimon should have just let that drop. I dunno, I think that's a catch he should make. It wasn't a given the runner would go, and the odds were good to nail him if he did. And the way things have started, I want that out. Didn't go our way that time.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Both. With a chance of scattered Deduno soon. Like what I saw in the back yard when the snow melted.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Unbelievable bad luck for Nolasco! Maybe two or three well hit balls. Everything just seems to find a place to fall. 2 or 3 well hit balls in 3 innings is a lot! I would disagree about unbelievable bad luck. I would say he was lucky to get 2 double play balls to apparently limit the damage.

Didn't go our way that time. The wind really took it away, though, and made it not so routine. That said, I say you make the outs when you can.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 What if he did and the next pitch was a pop up to the catcher, don't just hand them runs.Wondered about his decision too. Tough call. This early in the game the tie breaker is probably to take the out and try to help your starter stay in the game. He probably remembered the runner but didn't realize how far he'd traveled and how hard it would be to throw out the runner. At least it was a close play.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 scattered Deduno So you're predicting a good outing for Samwell?
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 The wind really took it away, though, and made it not so routine. That said, I say you make the outs when you can.No question about it...always get the out, unless it's the winning run and you're certain you can't get him. Man, that was a heck of a catch by Florimon. Really closed on it well with the wind blowing.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Like what I saw in the back yard when the snow melted. You're lucky. My back yard full of that is in the front.

What if he did and the next pitch was a pop up to the catcher, don't just hand them runs. What if he did and... Jeez... there are a bunch of different scenerios to cover. I've decided not to try.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 So you're predicting a good outing for Samwell? Two scoreless, and a Deduno hat trick of an all-swinging strikeout, a four-pitch walk, and a hit batsman with runners on first and second...
