  1. ....and it's not like hitting isn't a desperate need for the team or anything 🙄 ,,, what a S- Show
  2. "We (have) played a disjointed game today past 3 years is what we('ve) done did." I fixed that for you Rocco!
  3. "Do they ever watch their own product?" This is wonderfully insightful question that succinctly encapsulates our overwhelming frustration.
  4. And for all of those who argue how little the manager matters, I ask... Why have one then? Why not just have a phone in the dugout for the players to communicate directly with the FO or their AI bot? There is a manager, because leadership indeed DOES matter. Attitude, expectation, environment, attention to detail, competitive fire etc DOES matter. I'm sure Rocco would be fantastic in our FO, but he is NOT a good leader. As I've said for 2 years now.... if Rocco were to be fired, it is HIGHLY unlikely that he would be hired by another MLB team to manage. So, we extended him.... because we were worried that another team was clamoring to compete for his services if his contract expired? (just writing that made me giggle)
  5. Which scenario has better odds? 1. The Twins win the WS this year 2. MLB gets rid of the divisions during the offseason and just has the top teams from the entire American League go to the playoffs given the historic ineptitude of the Central Division this year and questionable performance previously (especially now with balanced schedules) I think #2, though unlikely, has a better chance than #1
  6. I would use the word 'competition' very loosely when describing the American League Central.....
  7. Buck to CF and then Kirilloff to DH..... Taylor to bench.... but Buck out again now, so......
  8. When the FO is checking their algorithms, I hope they are taking into account who is else is getting AB because Buck is DH. Do we want Taylor or Kirilloff in the lineup.....Taylor or Kirilloff.....ummmmmm that is SUCH a tough decision 🙄
  9. Miranda in an absolute free fall. Nagging injury or flagging confidence? I wish him well to get back on track!
  10. Your outfield hitting summary: 0-11 with 7Ks For the love of all baseball, get Buck into CF already (and then Kirilloff could have started at DH!) I know everyone is probably getting tired of me pointing this out, but I promise not as tired as I am watching Buck be a permanent DH.
  11. Knee jerk reaction is YES WE SHOULD HAVE.... More nuanced assessment... would we have signed the right one out of the 'reliever lotto?' I'm sure the bullpen is the bane of all GMs existence....
  12. Free Bubble-Wrapped-Buck! Keeping him off the field given the team needs is getting sad and embarrassing
  13. Louie, Louie.... oooooh, oh....we got a win now.... yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.....
  14. Catches that other's dive for, Buck can catch on the run. Buck in CF means someone better than Taylor (or Gordon) can hit in the lineup. There is always a risk for injury but he is worth FAAAAAAAAR less as a player being DH only.
  15. Nice work... Now release Bubble-Wrapped Buck to run free in his natural CF habitat!
  16. A VERY well written article... thanks!
  17. Time to kick off the training wheels and welcome Buck back to his rightful home in center field. This will make the team better (and more specifically the line up). Buck was never, is not, and will never be a good candidate for permanent DH. I will gladly take 80-100 games of real Buck over 150 games of bubble wrapped DH Buck. Enough already. Ferraris were not meant to sit in the garage (even Farris Bueller knew that)
  18. Of course he deserved boos. It is perfectly OK for fans to express their displeasure with his play in a harmless fashion. ...As for yelling disparaging personal comments or throwing things... that is of course NOT OK. Correa is a big boy, he can handle justified fan frustration... as he indeed told us himself.
  19. And this is why it was who AK would replace, not if he should be called up. A healthy AK is a game changer in a way that can be matched by few in the organization.... if he can stay healthy... (this should be assumed at the end of all comments for at least the rest of the year)
  20. Polanco to lead off please... The Twins do not need extra Kepler at bats each game
  21. Correa is being paid to be a star. He is not playing like a star. Over half of Buxton's value is his defense. He is not playing defense. We need to put more responsibility on our designated difference makers as opposed to focusing on the level of play for our replacement level players.
