  1. What do you mean you don't know who is responsible? Have you not been paying attention. Or paying attention to the Vikings also for the last 10 months. It's EVERYONE'S responsibility. Cooperation, Collaboration, Communication. Duckies & Bunnies. Peace, Love, Dope.
  2. And I bet that every team in every one of those bigger markets has a bigger cable deal than the Twins do. Which I bet leads to higher customer costs for cable in those markets. So, if we as fans would be willing to help subsidize it, by increasing our cable bills by 50 to 75% we'd probably be able to compete with those other markets. C'mon, let's go. Let's do our part. It's on us. Rah, rah, rah.
  3. I was thinking 5 years $190. Fairly long deal but not too long. Allows him to cash in one one more similar length deal afterwards maybe at an even higher number. $38 million AAV.
  4. I, for one, wish that YOU would pony up and buy the team. Then I could just get rich buying stock in World Series parades.
  5. "Prospect" is not really a word I'd use in association with any of twins catchers.
  6. 5 years $190 million. Make it happen.
  7. Sarcasm. 101. Learn it dude. Actually, though, if they had 4 MLB ready SS they wouldn't be that far from the World Series.
  8. I thought WE had two MLB ready SSs. (Lewis & Martin) Or was it 4? (Lee & Miller)
  9. We have to have some young prospects ready to hit the big leagues and not be able to stay healthy. It can't just be Kiriloff & Larnach.
  10. As proof of your concept I submit the last two seasons.
  11. The assortment of players we've run out to LF over the last two years has NOT outperformed what Rosario has done in it's entirety since he left. And it certainly doesn't have a World Series ring or a post-season appearance to show for it. Eddie also played with something this club has sorely lacked--heart. Of course so did Nelson Cruz-got rid of him too. AND, of course, we had ONE guy in the lineup this year who played with heart and he'll be gone too.
  12. You mean all those young outfielders who can't stay healthy? I remember a couple years back when we jettisoned Eddie Rosario rather than pay him a similar number. LF has been a revolving door ever since and we haven't sniffed the post-season. But sure, let's double down.
  13. How would we know what Larnach is? He can't stay on the field.
  14. Generally speaking, anytime one has to ponder how a club is gonna fit all of it's quality players on a roster, it's a mirage. Kind of reminds me of all the angst every spring about who is gonna make the opening day roster. Completely ignores that fact that in addition to the opening day 26 there might be another 26 who make big league appearances in a given season.
  15. Now look at the number of games he's played over that time
  16. Saying Iglesias has offensive ability and Simmons has none is patently wrong. Iglesias' solid (quarter of a real season) 2020 notwithstanding, NEITHER has done much of anything since 2018. The only difference is that Simmons was MUCH better prior to 2018. No reason to believe that Iglesias would perform any better here in 2023 than Simmons did in 2021 other than wanting it to be true or possible.
  17. Sure, he MIGHT get an 8 year offer. Of course, he didn't last time around. Seager, Baez, Semian & Story got a combined 29 years, $780 million. Their new teams finished a combined 62 games under .500. 88 if you factor in the fact that the Rangers double dipped. Need to at least make the offer. Never know how the market will break.
  18. I for one am intrigued by a 3B named Brooks who probably should have been drafted by the Orioles.
  19. Offer Correa 5 years $192 and have a conversation about playing a different position when Lewis is ready. Go big.
  20. Winning fixes attendance and enthusiasm. Injuries are unpredictable including returning from them.
  21. Offer Correa 5 years $193 million. Incorporate a conversation with the new owner at 601 N 1st AV regarding the virtues of moving to a different position when (if) Lewis is ready.
  22. Kind of depends on whether we can get 300 games out of Buxton, Larnach & Kiriloff. Don't want Garlick to be lead our OF in games played but don't want Celestino to do so either. Would also prefer to see Gordon get more action in the infield than outfield, especially if Correa leaves and Lewis isn't ready for the opening bell.
  23. Judge would certainly qualify as outfield depth.
  24. What stands out to me is that he'd better have a great big league career or it was another failed trade.
