    My favorite Tony O memory is from his last year in the bigs when in a few road games he was in the starting lineup as the second baseman batting in the top three just to get him an at bat before being replace defensively in the bottom of the first. Only happened a handful of times but I'll never forget.

    Not much in the way of highly regarded catchers in the pipeline which made the March trades so head scratching. Body by Willians Austidillo which makes one wonder how long he'll last behind the plate but if he gets here soon enough half a decade shouldn't be out of the question. 88 hits from the big league catcher spot this year so opportunity knocks.

    I guess it's time to do what the purple did yesterday with half their 2021 draft class--send 'em packing. OR we could re-set, re-evaluate and work with them, even give them another year. I've heard that sometimes folks have a down year one year and then proceed to bounce back and produce at a higher level the next. Just a rumor, but worth looking into.

    The Rosario decision was the "right" decision and yet we've spent two years wandering the desert searching for a LF while Eddie's wearing a ring. Got it.

    The exercise was not to make a likeable comparison. It was to make an accurate one. Of course we'd like him to end up more like MIranda and Arraez than Gallo. Worth noting that Gallo is a 2 time All-Star, Gold Glove winner and 40 home run hitter. I guess time will be the judge.
