  1. Hope the Twins do not trade Wallner. Just do not understand why he isn't with the Twins. He was on base 8 times in a row before being sent down. Maybe Rocco doesn't like him, but he can hit and Twins need hitters.
  2. WOW Roco had batter bunt. Using Buxton is almost a wasted out until his health improves and Correa should be batting 5 or 6.
  3. Signing Cutch for maybe $7 million would have helped Twins more than Gallo at $10 million. Gallo was more of a gamble and had record of strikeouts. Twins front office has not helped the 2023 Twins.
  4. Based on Rocco's record there was no way he leaves Maeda in after coming out for visit since he always pulls pitcher after visit. Can not remember last time Rocco had batter bunt over runner inn10th inning.
  5. It was a close game that the Twins could have won when they had bases loaded or not give Tigers the walk in the bad inning. The Twins have lost too many games by walking batters and most of the walks were to batters with low batting averages. The Twins batters were swinging at too many first pitches so rookie Tigers pitcher had to throw very few pitches. I think it was 8 pitches in one inning and 10 in another inning.. Will take a win today since it looks like a .500 record will win division and maybe good pitching will win in playoffs. Put Buxton on IR and call up Wallner as DH.
  6. Do you really think Rocco would have left Maeda in? Do you really think Rocco calls bunt in 10th inning?
  7. I wonder if Rocco pulls Maeda in the fifth inning and gives the ball to RP who then loses game for Twins. I really think Rocco pulls Maeda, but since he wasn't managing we got the strike out from Maeda. Maybe Rocco can get ejected tonight and the Twins win another game with a bunt that Rocco would not call.
  8. The only way that they sign him is if he becomes free agent.
  9. I was really surprised when the Twins bunted in the 10th inning since Rocco doesn't have his players bunt, but then I read that Rocco wasn't the manager since he had been kicked out. The Twins won a 1 run extra inning game without Rocco and usually lose those games with Rocco. At least now the Twins know how to win those games.
  10. In the third inning of the last game that Lopez pitched he walked 2 batters and hit 1 batter. Hard to believe the front office extended his contract. Just have no faith in front office.
  11. The Twins knew he had a injury history, but still signed him to a big contract. I do not know who is worse our front office or our manager, but it appears we will not have a winning team until they are replaced.
  12. Another great move by the Twin's front office to extend Lopez. In the third inning he walked 2 batters and hit a batter so does that sound like a pitcher we should extend? Twins have 3 starting pitchers on the IR so why extend Lopez? I am not sure if the Twins have a bad front office or a bad manager or maybe both. Not having a winning record in a weak division is really hard to accept.
  13. http://It appears the Twins like to trade for pitchers that have history of injury or have injury since at least 3 starting pitchers have missed part or all of a season.
  14. LA had 5 hits last night and the Twins had a total of 7 hits. LA will probably be a very good hitter for several more years and we have a .500 pitcher at best.
  15. If the Twins keep losing then, just maybe, they will look for a new leader or should I say look for a leader since Rocco is certainly not a leader.
  16. From what I have read it was Rocco who really wanted him back and the others had to back the manager.
  17. Just give Wallner another chance since he was on base 8 times in a row when for some reason, only Rocco knows, he was sent down. Twins have nothing to lose since if he hits they will keep him and if he doesn't send him down. Twins really need hitters and base runners so why not bring Wallner up?
  18. When the 2 highest paid players go 0-8 and Buck strikes out 3 times the Twins will not win many games. Really sad watching the two high paid players not getting even 1 hit. Two good teams walked away from Correa, but Rocco wanted him back and that shows his lack of judgement.
  19. I think Gray should have been allowed to pitch another inning. If he has a bad start in the 5th inning then pull him. The Twins bullpen is not very good so give Gray a chance to win a game with a 3 run lead. Just when I was thinking Rocco was letting his starting pitchers pitch more than 4 or 5 innings he pulls Gray and Twins lose game. I keep wondering what our record would be with a manager that had a feel for the game.
  20. The Twins need better hitters so a trade is needed. With 7 possible starting pitchers we could trade one of them to get hitting help.
  21. When Williams came into the game I assumed it was over for the Twins. This was one of biggest wins this season. I think many Twins fans were thinking another lost game. Winder did a good job in his 2 innings to hold then scoreless so maybe the Twins have a RP that will not walk batters and throw strikes.
  22. If some of the starting pitchers return to pitch it appears we will have too many starters so a win win trade for a hitter would help the Twins. It appears we have 2 or 3 starting pitchers that could return to help Twins plus some rookies that could help. The Twins need some hitting help to score more runs since even the best starting pitcher gives up about 3 runs per game. The Twins have been just one hit away from winning numerous games.
  23. I like Max, but do not think he is one of the greatest outfielders for Twins. He really had one very good season.
