  1. I think Gray should have been allowed to pitch another inning. If he has a bad start in the 5th inning then pull him. The Twins bullpen is not very good so give Gray a chance to win a game with a 3 run lead. Just when I was thinking Rocco was letting his starting pitchers pitch more than 4 or 5 innings he pulls Gray and Twins lose game. I keep wondering what our record would be with a manager that had a feel for the game.
  2. The Twins need better hitters so a trade is needed. With 7 possible starting pitchers we could trade one of them to get hitting help.
  3. When Williams came into the game I assumed it was over for the Twins. This was one of biggest wins this season. I think many Twins fans were thinking another lost game. Winder did a good job in his 2 innings to hold then scoreless so maybe the Twins have a RP that will not walk batters and throw strikes.
  4. If some of the starting pitchers return to pitch it appears we will have too many starters so a win win trade for a hitter would help the Twins. It appears we have 2 or 3 starting pitchers that could return to help Twins plus some rookies that could help. The Twins need some hitting help to score more runs since even the best starting pitcher gives up about 3 runs per game. The Twins have been just one hit away from winning numerous games.
  5. I like Max, but do not think he is one of the greatest outfielders for Twins. He really had one very good season.
  6. Don't keep throwing good money away on a bad choice. The Twins have already thrown good money away on Paddock who may never pitch again. Go with the young pitchers instead of throwing money away on pitchers that may never help you be a winning team.
  7. I have said several times that Rocco is a slow learner and putting Pagan into pitch just shows that. How many Twin's fans assumed the game was lost when Pagan came in to pitch? The Twins were probably going to win the game until Rocco decided to have Pagan come into the game. Does Rocco just have a short memory so he decided to pitch Pagan again? Pagan can just not pitch under pressure and that is a fact that most fans know, but for some reason Rocco gives him another try and Twins lose game.
  8. What a odd game where the winning team strikes out 17 times of the 27 outs, but still wins. The Twins hitters missed 17 time, but didn't miss 3 times.
  9. Glad the Twins won, but it was a close game. Still waiting for Wallner to be called up since we need hitters.
  10. Without a change nothing will change. Now that the Twins have a losing record again why not change. I think there are some ex players out there that would jump at the chance to manager the Twins. We all know Rocco will not change so hire a leader that will help the Twins win.
  11. Really the same thing. Twins picked Larnach over Wallner. Larnach has went 0-15 since coming back.
  12. Rocco just can not manage a game. A bunt probably gets the run in and then Polo gets to hit. Rocco just has no feel for the game. Hiring him was one of the biggest mistakes the Twins have ever made and now the front office decided to extend him. I guess they were concerned some high school team would hire him, but even that probably would not happen.
  13. Wallner should be on the team. Either Rocco or front office should be replaced. They called up Larnach who is 0-12 since being called up.
  14. WOW we do not need Wallner? He was on base 8 times in a row before someone decided to send him down and he continues to hit in the minors. We need hitters.
  15. I would take Terry any day over our current front office.
  16. Leadership and experience of playing the game. I seem to remember he did well managing in minors, but for some reason the Twins front office released him.
  17. How can the Saints be in the top 10 for runs per game and the Twins can't score runs like last night. Maybe we can IR Rocco down to Saints and call up their manager. He could not do any worse than Rocco.
  18. If they picked players who strike out the most the Twins would have several players picked. I can not even think of any Twins hitters being in the top 5 of any spot in the field. It is really sad when a team has no hitter even close to being picked. It appears the Twins will be lucky to finish above .500 and the future doesn't look good unless some changes in leadership occurs, but that will probably not happen. The Twins have a nice baseball field, but fans will just not keep coming unless something changes. Signing Rocco as manager has really not worked out and he will never win a playoff game, but the Twins keep managers for a long time. I think that if they had signed Doug M as manager, instead, the Twins would have had a better record over the past several years.
  19. The Rays have a good front office and good manager something the Twins do not have. The Rays do not overpay players like Buxton and Correa plus bring up young players from minors. Without leadership the Twins will continue to be, at best, a .500 club.
  20. It is hard to support the front office of the Twins with all the questionable moves they have made recently. Over paying Correa, extending Lopez, extending Rocco, trading our best hitter for .500 pitcher, sending Wallner down and many more moves. Can not think of one really good move that the front office has made in last 6 months that helped the Twins.
  21. Just do not understand why Wallner is not being called up? Twins need hitters and Wallner would seem to be the player that could help them.
  22. Pablo Lopez has been fine? He is 3-3 with a ERA of 4.5 so he is a .500 pitcher with a high ERA. The Twins have 2 rookie pitchers with better records plus the front office gave him a big contract so we will have to keep him for several more years.
  23. I just read about a former Twin hitting almost .400 so far this year. I wonder what the Twins record would be if he was still a Twin and the .500 pitcher we got was not on the team. Hitters that can hit .400 are very hard to find, but pitchers with a .500 record are everywhere. When the trade was made our front office said it was a win-win trade. It was really a win for the other team and the Twins were the loser. After looking at this trade and the signing of Correa it is hard to have much faith in our front office. Trading a good everyday player for a player that plays every 5 days just doesn't make sense.
