    It was too bad that both Mauer and Morneau were injured or the Twins would have won more games. When they were both in their prime they were one of the best two hitters in baseball.

    Rocco does seem to have talent and experience to become a manager, but his teams seem to strikeout too often, hit into too many double plays and do not move runners over plus he seems to handle his pitching staff poorly. As a Twins fan I keep looking for improvement from Ricco, but the same problems seem to still exist.

    I always assumed that 1st base was one of easiest spots to play so Twins should have no problem moving another player to play 1st base.

    I have always assumed 1st base was the easiest place to play in baseball so do not understand why several current players could not play there.

    Taylor's catch saved the game. If he doesn't catch that ball the Twins lose the game.

    Steward looked good last night and we can have him pitch at least two more games before playoffs so will know if he can be effective.

    There is not a place for Buxton on the playoff roster. He can not play in field and he can not hit. He almost never walks since he swings at almost every pitch. Maybe he can play next year, but that is even a big maybe.

    Twins can rest any player that needs some time off to get better. The only games that count now are the playoff games.

    After Max's bad first half I was ready to give up on him, but he really had a great second half and earned to be voted MVP. Castro has played well as has Julien plus Lewis really helped the Twins when he was called up. The Twins season has really been a overall team effort with no real superstar, but many players having good years.

    The Twins would be a much better team with Streer and Stand on the team. Twins really got nothing in the trade. Letting Ortiz go is still the worse move the Twins ever made.

    Gordon seems to have really gone backwards and if Twins can trade him for help it would seem to make sense.

    Since Buxton swings at every pitch he will not be getting a walk and will likely strike out so they will not need a pinch runner for him.

    He started slow this season, but has played better the second half of season.

    Another good game by the Twins. Twins got good starting pitching and the bullpen did well. Twins got some timely hits in 9th inning to win games. Twins are playing good as a team and everyone helps them win.

    When Buxton strikes out we can not pinch run for him. He just doesn't get walks since he swings at almost every pitch.

    Since when has Buxton become a leader. He hurt team play for most of the season. He can not play in field and can not hit. A leader would have taken some time off sooner to get his health better so he could help Twins win games.

    No way do we need Buxton. We are a much better team without him. He can not play in field and we do not need him to strike out.

    No way we want Gallo on roster. We do not need someone to strike out.

    In a short playoff series it will depend on starting pitching and it appears Twins have 3 good pitchers to pitch in playoffs. We have at least a 50% chance of winning playoff series which is better odds than past years.

    I would be very surprised if Buxton played center field in 2024 or ever again. Taylor could pay there in 2024 and then maybe Lewis in 2025 with Lee at 3rd base in 2025. It is possible Lee could be on team in 2024 since we have 2 other rookies that have played really well this year and 2 other rookies that played ok. I do not think the Twins will trade for a center fielder. The Twins have the 7 other field spots covered and can cover center spot with several players they currently have. It appears the Twins should be a good team in 2024 depending how their pitching staff works out.

    The Twins are 1-0 without Rocco. Starter got to pitch 7 innings. Wonder how many games Rocco will miss?

    He is the only Twins player that I want batting with the bases loaded. The Twins record with bases loaded was really bad before Lewis joined the team.

    Rocco gets played by other team again when he puts in pinch hitter too early and the doesn't pinch hit for weak hitting catcher. Wonder what our record would be with a good manager.

    Signing him to long term contract was a mistake by the Twins front office. It doesn't appear he will ever pitch for the Twins. He does strike out batters, but gives up way too many hits.
