Think About Alex Presley... Batting Leadoff and Playing CF... OK... Let's see how he does. 2. Think About Josmil Pinto... Lot of us have been waiting to see this guy... OK... I know I'm pumped to see him play... Let's see how he does. 3. Think about Brian Dozier... 15 Dingers and that moves him from leadoff to the #3 Spot. We should all be Dozier Fans at this point. 4. Think about Clete Thomas... Still in the lineup... Too Funny... In LF today. 5. Think about Stats... I spent yesterday doing some research and the results were interesting. Did you know that 3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the Population?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Can there be a more depressing headline than this from the Twins home page at mlb.com? "Correia leads Twins' bid for series win in finale"
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Lol @ 4 6. Think about me sitting in 96 deg (heat index is 115) watching the Miracle game in Ft. Myers. Middle of 4, down 1-0. Lots of antics between innings at minor league games
big dog Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 7. Think about Oakland...two games back of Texas for the Division Lead. And the Twins roll out a lineup like that. Highest averages in the lineup? .244 (Dozier and Bernier). Next highest average? Trevor Plouffe. Don't blame Corriea for this. The A's management has a right to be upset.

Middle of 4, down 1-0. Lots of antics between innings at minor league games Do the antics help you forget the heat index? I can't imagine sitting out in that (although truth be told I spent a big chunk of Friday sitting on metal bleachers in a heat index of over 100 myself, watching my daughter's college soccer team). I think I would prefer fewer antics, more action, but minor league games do have their charms.

So I'm in the shade and getting a decent breeze. And now it's 2-0

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 That's Buxton batting. He's wearing #7

kydoty Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I can't remember the last time I've seen a starting lineup that bad. Maybe back in the mid 90s when we were relying on the Scott Stahoviaks of the world.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Who's to say Thomas, Mastroianni, and Presley are redundant, when you can have them in the same stating outfield?!
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Argh ... photo insert fail ... It's perfect -- just had to turn my laptop upside down.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Going into the bottom of the 10th tied at 2 apiece. I think this is it for me no matter what. Lol and 1st batter is on with a bunt single
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Think about Presley. Highest career BA in Twins history.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Mastro makes up for Plouffe not sliding the other night by sliding twice.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Wait a second.... where the heck is Arcia? We have an all-medicore outfield!

Willihammer Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Ya the quiet about Arcia's wrist is a little worrisome. Hopefully no bfd
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Ya the quiet about Arcia's wrist is a little worrisome. Hopefully no bfd At least they're protecting him. I don't want Arcia to get hurt. (Reminds me of Plouffe's hand injury last year that wrecked his 2nd half.)
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 99. Think about when the twins were interesting enough to have hundreds of comments during a game.http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YHIR3EZ03Pc/UVxAgztbUqI/AAAAAAAABAs/RZId58mRGWg/s320/A+Sleeping+Fan.jpg
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 For as much crap as umpires get, they are generally damn good at their jobs, and easily the best of any major sport. There is room for improvement, and replay is a good idea (if being poorly implemented, IMO), but major league umpires get it right an impressive amount of the time.
Thegrin Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Josmil Pinto - This is why I watch as many Twins games as possible. First hit. First xtra base hit. First RBI.
Thegrin Verified Member Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 and now Presley gets an RBI ! This is too much to handle in one game.
