Some of that was that the Phillies adjusted too, they were not letting him expand the zone.  There were some no doubt misses, but there were a few close pitches they took.  He needed to adjust and throw it in there and didn't.

Yes, he does need to learn and he is learning but it was the correct call to leave him in to pitch, precisely for a learning experience. While it would be sweet for the Twins to win the World Series this year I am stunned that they still have a solid chance at 81 or more wins.

Props to  you guys that have been here all night. I’m just checking in after doing some yardwork and I will promptly be checking out. Catch you all tomorrow.

Helps keep the sanity intact for at least one more day.

Rojas and Jack Anderson teamed up for a shutout tonight. Could they both be called up later this week if needed after a blowout game..

I noticed they pulled Rojas in the 5th again? They must be thinking bullpen?

That would be nice. Rojas has had two nice outings with what seems to be better control.

I have a hard time punting on the season and hoping for learning experiences when we’re tied for a playoff spot. Not knowing what’s happening next season, it would be nice to get to the playoffs even though we’d likely be out quickly. Postseason experience is also invaluable going forward for everyone involved. Conor should have been yanked after the third walk. The rest was unnecessary

There is no plan with Rojas, they love bulk guys more than anything else.  It looks like it was one of those magic piggyback games tonight.

Also, Houston's not playing for Wichita tonight. Will they move up to St. Paul? I mean, why not?

It would be too much sense and take playing time away from Gray.  They need Gray ready to come up here and help the big club.
