Zebby 16 HR in 78 innings

He may not make it through the 4th based on his current pitch total

Twins trading for Dean Kramer. He’s given up 21 runs in his last five starts so I’m not sure how I feel about this. He does have a pretty sweet man bun though.

I did my part tonight.  In Cleveland for the SABR convention and we went as a group to the ballpark.  I put on my rally cap to help the Diamondbacks in the top of the 8th, and it was good for a 4-1 road win and a Guardians loss.

You're welcome.  Fear the power of the rally cap.

Report: Twins have acquired Starting Pitcher Dean Kremer from the Orioles

Hopefully they're giving them one of their lesser buckets of balls ... dude's been rough lately

Uh, Kremer is a downgrade from Zebby... he has a long track record of being pretty good, but was bad enough to get optioned this year. Reyes is our #10 prospect on fangraphs and #24 on MLB.com... yup, I am not a fan.

Jhomnardo Reyes, an 18 year old outfielder for the DSL-Twins.

Wasn't Kremer the pitcher who was just caught yelling at Polar Bear the other day?

I've never heard of Jhomnardo Reyes so whatever. Might as well be cash.

I've seen him mentioned in the minor league daily reports, he's only 18 but one of our better international prospects. Fangraphs has him at 45 AV and calls him a "late first-round high school hitter."

The delta between those rankings are enormous. What does Fangraphs know more than other outlets to put him as a top 10 prospect in our organization?

I'd hope they'd be aiming a little higher.  What's the upside here?  Is he even an improvement over Zebby?

If this allows them to convert Rojas to a true reliever for the rest of the season, I guess that's a plus

His last game was horrible...

Yeah Kremer is serviceable, not much more. It beats bullpen games IMHO

and you never know, change-of-scene guys can catch fire

Kremer need to do more then catch fire.  Needs to super nova in a TC uni.

Here's the fun part. None. I hope that's just AAA depth and they try again over the weekend.

He was listed as #24 in MLB preseason Twins prospect rankings.  I think they needed to aim higher than Kremer.  I'm not sure he is better than anyone currently starting.

Read the section on him here: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/minnesota-twins-top-50-prospects/

It might be preference when ranking a guy who is so far out. Personally I'd put a guy that young lower too, but I get the logic Fangraphs is using, if it were a high schooler they drafted in late round 1 at 18/19 years old, he'd be ranked higher than #24.
