Any win against NY is a good win.

Hope the foot injury Zebby picked up isn't serious; would have been nice for him to get through 6, and I think he could have done it before dropping out with injury. Ah, well.

Only thing the pitching really did wrong was hand out too many free passes; even the homers I can live with. In that bandbox of a stadium you're going to give up a few. But 6 walks means we dodged some bullets.

Loved what we saw from the offense. Lots of hits, lots of walks, lots of homers. But also liked how they took advantage of some extra outs and had some good baserunning.

Would love it if they take the series. Winning a road series against the hated NYY? Let's gooooo....

Just a couple of things:

Twins won awesome.

Shame on writer calling Twins the Twinkies.  That is very disrespectful no matter how good or bad they play.

Fangraphs is a joke

"Buxton SPARKS Twins' Fireworks In Return From a 4-Game Absence" (From MLB.com).

The Tin Man Returns!!  And how many games was he the DH because he was unable to play in the field?  I wouldn't call going 1 - 3 with 2 strikeouts as SPARKING - just because he hit ONE Double and a Sacrifice Fly.  Also of note and concern = 14 strikeouts 7/03 (4 batters accounted for 10 = Bell = 2, Lewis = 2, Kreidler = 3, Gray = 3) and 10 strikeouts on 7/04 ( Lee = 3 & Buxton = 2 for HALF of the 10 strikeouts.  Just what are the hitting coaches doing to earn their pay?  Two Games = 54 outs and 24 outs were due to strikeouts.

Get a grip on yourself and calm down!

The Twins lead the AL in runs scored and have one position player on the all star team.

Yeah…I’d like to think Jeffers would have been there, and Clemens should be there.

While the game was pretty much over, I really enjoyed getting a chance to watch Raya finish thiae last 2 innings. Nice velocity, nice movement and depth on his pitches, I was impressed.

Obviously, you need to take over as hitting coach - nobody will ever strike out again. Very anxious to see!!

1 guy ……….. that’s correct. Who else is an All-star? ………… Jeffers had a great shot prior to injury. Can’t imagine who else?

Larnach is second highest performer - offensively but not really All-star. material.

What would he be ranked if he played 2B all year and didn’t have the huge negative because the Twins chose to play him at 1B? Positional flexibility adds value to a team but in Clemens case it is reflected in a negative direction by WAR. How does he rank among qualified AL second basemen in wRC+?

He’s hit 4 HR in the last week (that’s great!) doesn’t mean he’s an All-star. He hit 3 in 3 days to get his OPS to .811. ……..I like the 35 XBH!! …… projects to 60 XBH for the year - that would be sweet.

BA .248 ……… OBP .311

Luke Keaschall’s OBP is near .340 as a comparison.

Watching the Saints game. Jeffers has hit a home run and threw a runner out at 2B. He looks ready to join the team on Tuesday. I hope he comes up for Fedko.

Alex Jackson can be the 13th guy. He’s fast enough to pinch run and he’s already ahead of Fedko on the pinch hitting depth chart. He’s even played 160 games in the outfield in the minors.

Absolutely right. Jackson can do as much as Fedko is now doing in the field except play centerfield, and hits a whole lot better. He can be that pinch runner if Martin‘s already in the game. Besides, we waive Jackson someone will take him given how desperate teams are for backup catchers after all the injuries these season. Tomorrow we’ll see Fedco down, Jeffers activated. Just in time for Cleveland.

You also seem to get off on insulting a beloved player for the Twins, and act like his injuries over the years are some personal failing, which is damn stupid. That's what is offending people.
