Connor Priellipp’s ERA has quietly creeped up to 5.26 now, and no one has complained so far? Yet he’s the same age as SWR and he was considered garbage. I find that fascinating.

Might as well send Adams down. Seems to be the weekly move.

Not sure it will be Adams this time as they have to monitor the number of trips they send him back down to five.  Probably will be whoever has to give some length the night before.

They asked him to pause working with his hitting coach, he felt he was getting conflicting direction from the team on his swing but went with what the team wanted.  How did that work out.  That is my point what has the team done to help him be successful,

I do think he needs to stop talking so much as well but again when players just give cliches we rip them for that as well.  That is why I think he should stop talking.  I still think there is talent there and so did the Twins obviously,  I am not sure giving up on him a third of the way thru the season is the right course of action.

Hey  no one has given up on him ,  quit yapping and show it on the field is all everyone wants and we will see him - im guessing after the break

SWR was on pace for one of the worst seasons ever as a SP. He was last or close to last in many pitching categories. I agree Prielipp needs to be better but SIM was complete garbage.

Gomez has been a pleasant surprise.  This is the type of player I wish they would target more, younger, maybe got caught up in the options game and with a tweak or two be productive.

agree   leave them 29 year olds in the garbage can ,  Gomez looking good

Connor is the shiny new toy with unlimited possibilities.  SWR has been played with for several years and not interesting anymore.

I had a buddy in high school that started going bald at 16. Started shaving his head at 19 years old. Can’t imagine a worse outcome. My widow’s peeks are creeping up on me but still a full head of hair so far. Fingers crossed it lasts for another 20+ years.

Same….. course in 20 years I will be 90, so I think that will be enough 😀

Just because he was “pacing” towards that doesn’t mean he wasn’t gonna finish in that spot. It’s almost like 50+ previous starts meant something at 25 years old.

Literally the Toy Story meme

Eye test. CP can put hitters away. The stuff is there. With Sim, it was a struggle a lot of times. Never really developed that out pitch and as the league adjusted to him, it became even harder to pitch effectively. Book still out on CP, but his swing and miss stuff plays. Sim never had that to his game.

That too.  Preilipp shows signs of having a 2 strike out pitch.  SWR tops out at having a 2 strike foul ball pitch making him throw more pitches increasing his probability of throwing a meatball.
