The tractor radio only got 3 stations, KDWB, WCCO and a country station.

I was glad for Twins day games.

Out here in the far western part of Twins Territory it was 1060 KGFX from Pierre, SD or if it was a cloudy day, 570 WNAX from Yankton, SD.  One of the few stations left with the starting 'W' west of the Mississippi River.

So did the cheap pocket Japanese transitor radio KDWB, WCCO and KDUZ; rock, news and polka music , all I needed.

WNAX, listed to that for 90 miles a few years back, coming home from a Iowa Casino.

Friend of mine was a DJ at KGFX when we were 20 or so.  Country station.  We used to get him to playing Rolling Stones--- Girl With The Far Away Eyes around midnight on nights he worked

The odd one was listening to KSJB, AM 610 out of Jamestown, ND when I was little.  When Darin Erstad played for the Angels, they broadcast Angels games.  It was hilarious that they would play a parody version of George Jones's song Finally Friday, obviously on Friday morning.

My mother and father in law had a polka band for decades, When Mrs Z and were underage for drinking we would attend their gig and get served alcohol. After a couple of hours we would head home, stop for a little nookie and I'd drop her off at home before the inlaws got home.  Good times.
