Soto back tomorrow so the Mets will have a pep in their step. Hopefully the rook gives the Twins a solid start.

Sweet win for Twins after McLean looked like he was invincible. Good play by Larnach in LF. You have to give credit to Outman with his stolen base and great job to beat the throw on the bunt. Wallner fought for that walk. Don't forget that except for one bad pitch, SWR kept the team in the game.

I have to admit that both Lewis and Lee were disappointing.

Mets are a weird team. All that money spent and just terrible roster construction.

Not sure if the Twins are still in the mindset of seeing what they have in Lee and Wallner. Thought Lee was coming to life after the game against Detroit and the following series but he just looks totally lost at the plate and in the field. And Wallner is who he is at this point. Would love to see Rodriguez get a legit shot.

I would guess until we get closer to the trade deadline.  You have Lewis, Lee, and to a lesser extent Clemens all have similar issues.  To bring up Culpepper, someone will have to go and that will likely either be Gray or Kreidler instead of Lee or Lewis.  A more logical possibility would be the Twins trade Bell closer to the deadline and maybe tell Lewis that he needs to go to 1st in a platoon role with Clemens if he is going to still be on the team when Culpepper is brought up.

Im not a hitting coach but I think Lewis swinging completely flat footed is not the ideal  in mechanics.
