I wonder if that's by circumstance rather than design. Ryan and Vazquez alternated starts behind the plate almost religiously over the past couple years.

I don't recall any alterations to that based on starter.

Perhaps. It could also be the human element with Joe preferring to pitch to Vazquez

Also Ryan's ERA with Vasquez this season is  2.18 wich is elite whereas his ERA with Jeffers this season is 3.83. In my opinion if Vasquez caught most games and Jeffers played at DH most games. we could of had A Stronger offense and better pitching staff and better defense at the catching posistion.

You're gonna have to show your work on how the offense would be better with Vasquez instead of fill-in-the-blank DH in the lineup
