The team misses Vazquez more than is admitted out loud.

Joe Ryan for sure does. Wasn’t Vazquez basically his personal catcher?

Stolen base with 2 out and only a runner on 1st, without even a throw.

Well managed team, Rocco. You have em operating at peak competitiveness.

Anyone can manage

I know Vazky was my personal catcher. Hey Chief, how about you?

I'd have to go back and check. Gasper hasn't played at all lately. The third guy Perada got sent back without putting on his glove.

Just picked a random start, Ryan lost against FLA, Vazquez was the starting catcher. 7 IP 1 ER.

Next game against TB. A loss credited to Topa. Vazquez again. 6 IP 2 ER 8 K.

The win against Skenes. Also Vazquez. 5 IP 1 ER.

Seems there's a pattern

Luke with a night off, you’d think he want to face a legend still in the game. Not his call I’m sure

Those errors yesterday may have earned him a breather.

I never really cared for Joe’s demeanor. Not that I want to lose him I’m just saying

As a former pitcher it is almost impossible to imagine the stress of pitching with that defense and that manager. We will never know but there may have been some acrimony within the bullpen that led to the purge. The saying that you cannot get rid of all the players, so the manager/GM/ POBO has to go is being flipped by the Twins. We can expect another pile of 7-10 players to be moved after the season closes.

The reason the Pohlads are such crappy owners has zero to do with money. They are not involved and have made poor hires to lead the ship, so it sinks.

I don’t know why they haven’t skipped Ryan in the rotation yet…give him a break. I mean, there’s an argument to completely shutting him down. Not that I’d want that. He’s fun to watch.

Well until 2 days ago they were literally going with a 3 man rotation, so there wasn't much space to coddle Ryan.

Sox are beating up on KC early too FWIW.

I'm not worried we might finish in last place in the Division  , it could happen  ....

My spring prediction was fourth place , because they didn't address the lineup  , front office thought there was no way the players would be as bad as the last 2 months of 2024 , this organization just is very poor at evaluating our players ...

I could not play for this organization going nowhere  ...

I wouldn't blame any player requesting or even demanding to be  traded at the end of the season  ...

Did the Twins whiff badly by not trading Ryan at the deadline? It seems like the Twins didn't have any sort of plan but were just taking calls; reactive. I guess we find out in the offseason. Put the odds of Ryan returning at about 5%.

I love his pitching. But the team needs leaders and to keep Pablo is the guy you want to be the face of the team going forward.

Pitch anyone. I wouldn’t consider it codling with Ryan because he’d never ask for it. (And maybe they have approached him on the subject?) More protecting an investment rather having him rack up innings in games that don’t matter. Although, if you know you’re going to be unloading him…

They claim we will have a six or seven man rotation soon. That's fine.
