Just picked a random start, Ryan lost against FLA, Vazquez was the starting catcher. 7 IP 1 ER. Next game against TB. A loss credited to Topa. Vazquez again. 6 IP 2 ER 8 K. The win against Skenes. Also Vazquez. 5 IP 1 ER. Seems there's a pattern Vanimal46 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 Luke with a night off, you’d think he want to face a legend still in the game. Not his call I’m sure

Not that I want to lose him I’m just saying As a former pitcher it is almost impossible to imagine the stress of pitching with that defense and that manager. We will never know but there may have been some acrimony within the bullpen that led to the purge. The saying that you cannot get rid of all the players, so the manager/GM/ POBO has to go is being flipped by the Twins. We can expect another pile of 7-10 players to be moved after the season closes. The reason the Pohlads are such crappy owners has zero to do with money. They are not involved and have made poor hires to lead the ship, so it sinks. hitterscount and RpR 2

Well until 2 days ago they were literally going with a 3 man rotation, so there wasn't much space to coddle Ryan.

I'm not worried we might finish in last place in the Division , it could happen .... My spring prediction was fourth place , because they didn't address the lineup , front office thought there was no way the players would be as bad as the last 2 months of 2024 , this organization just is very poor at evaluating our players ... I could not play for this organization going nowhere ... I wouldn't blame any player requesting or even demanding to be traded at the end of the season ... IndyTwinsFan 1
tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 Did the Twins whiff badly by not trading Ryan at the deadline? It seems like the Twins didn't have any sort of plan but were just taking calls; reactive. I guess we find out in the offseason. Put the odds of Ryan returning at about 5%. USAFChief 1

More protecting an investment rather having him rack up innings in games that don’t matter. Although, if you know you’re going to be unloading him… RpR 1
