Fly ball fell just in front of the RF, and Outman had to hold up to see if it was caught. Fitgerald hustled to 2nd on the relay. It wasn't really a double.

Fitzgerald caught the outfielder bein' lackadaisical on his throw to the infield, and hustled to second.

Outman going to 3rd wasn't quite so aggressive (and probably didn't read it as a hit from the get go)

Wasn’t really a double for Fitzgerald, went to second on throw headed for plate. Hustle play we are not used to seeing.

I think Ober is a decent 4-5 starter, but all those people who were suggesting last week he should be given a big extension are not watching the same player I am.  His fastball has lost 3-4 mph, he is now a nibbler, and he has had multiple stints on the IL.  Plus, he sure is prone to the gopher ball....
