What did you expect him to be?  A cheap potential closer with 4 years of control?

Lol well I’ve seen it written here that relievers always go bust and anyone can close and relievers are interchangeable etc etc

It’s the absolute last thing anyone should worry about when constructing a team.

Progress

Decent enough job by Travis Adams, and some pop in the bats. The DP bugaboo and we don't even have C4 no more.. hope Royce is ok, and I guess Noah and Julien (probably Gasper too) will be the first tickets out of town.)

The right-hander is throwing up in the bullpen. — Mike Shannon

I don't know about the right-hander, but most of us fans were....

Any pen at all and all four of these last games were winnable.

We're that close! 🤧

Here's my call: 16 more wins the rest of the way, White Sox finish within 5 of us.

You can put it on the board- yes.

There isn’t any plausible explanation for how the Twins arrived at the conclusion that this guy could play Major League Baseball. It was such an egregiously bad signing for a long time I assumed there was something else going on, like sabotage with bogus scouting report. I ultimately don’t blame him, and I think he was gracious in acknowledging the mistake.

I was literally going to post that Julien was quickly approaching nishioka territory but then he singled and I angrily erased my post.

He crossed my mind. As well as Sano at 3B. It’s close but Julien has my vote. He’s so bad out there.

I thought Sano was better at third than at first.... And certainly better than the outfield.

His bat meas squat as he does not know how to field the ball and that costs far more than ANY hit he ever gets.

Heh... I saw Eddie beat the White Sox a little later in the month- actually think he closed that one instead of starting.  Old timers, yo. 😅

The Sano in right field experiment was an all-time classic!

For you old timers out there. Was Todd Walker as bad at 2B as I want to remember? Or was it just that he didn’t hit as well as advertised and had a rep for a bad attitude?

edit for autofill

Todd Waller had zero range, most ground balls hit near him still got through. Juliene is putrid at defense and he still had more range than Walker.

I think we got took by Toronto like they took us on the Berrios deal.

Rojas is left handed and looks like he has decent velocity the little bit i watched him. He may make up for losing Varland. and is young.   Roden needs to play left field and left field only. He isn't a move around  outfied lguy. So far he takes to many good pitches, needs to be more agressive at the plate. He's not top 4 of line-up guy

What about Kiersey then?

Good question, but he is good in Left Field with the glove.
