They definitely don't think he's worse than Kiersey, given his 2023 season in the majors. It has to be about playing every day, which is why Kiersey collects dust on the bench most games. Austin Martin is going to get Bader's ABs for now and Outman will get Martin's AAA reps.

So, they traded Brock Stewart for someone they think is worse than Austin Martin?

He came into the season with 1 year and 95 days of service. He has been on the Dodgers' roster for 27 games. There are 54 games left in the season. I think he needs to sit in AAA for 2 weeks for the Twins to gain control of him for 2030 (when he will be 33 years old).

I don't think he'll last past his second year of arbitration on the roster, so I don't understand why that matters.

Is that a guess, or announced?

The MiLB transaction list keeps growing but nothing for the big club as of yet.

Hot off the skeets per Bobby Nightengale:

Newly called up Twins:
2B Edouard Julien
OF Austin Martin
SS Ryan Fitzgerald
RHP Erasmo Ramírez
RHP José Ureña
RHP Pierson Ohl
RHP Travis Adams

Trade addition Alan Roden is joining the big-league roster too.

so the 28 yo they traded for is going to AAA?

Yes, along with Bradley and Abel. They're tanking and showcasing players for potential offseason trades.

Nobody will pay it. He will elect free agency. Then he will sign for the minimum with the Twins. He gets another chance to be a closer, even though it may only be once per week.

It would be fitting way to go complete the circle of the Falvey era.

Roden is supposed to be a decent outfielder and has played 1B for one inning in the minors. Making him the new starting 1B sounds like a Rocco move.

Hmmmm. I was led to believe he'd played more than that! Julien at first? Who is the 1B at this point?
