And we always wonder why our pitchers can't get through five innings.  When they have to get 4 outs every inning, that takes a toll on the pitcher.  This is the second straight inning that the Twins need 4 outs to get out of the inning.

It has to be quite an adjustment to play all out in high school and college and then get to the major leagues where jogging is ok.

The young pitchers are likely gobsmacked by some of their teammates defensive skills.

They show the replay with Clemens running and getting thrown out at the plate. Clemens seems like a guy who plays hard, but we can clearly see him not going at full speed a couple of times and easing up at third base before he then tries to score. Contrast that with Trevor Story busting his ass out of the box on every ball he puts in play (that I have seen). Why does a marginal player who has been released previously not go full speed any time he runs the bases? I don't get it. Is this a don't get injured running hard team philosophy?

Perhaps word is out that half a$$ed is considered full full out in TC.  This is directly attributable to Rocco and staff.

Forced Matthews to throw 8 more pitches. WTF Jeffers

They have to strike out batters to guarantee an out. Well now they can't even depend on that.

I didn't watch the replay as much as a few of you so I can stand to be corrected.  It looked like Clemens looked at the fielders while rounding second base and was expecting the decision for the stop sign.  I'm sure he was just as surprised as us when Watkins sent him to the plate.  If a blame game has to be assigned, I'm guessing it's Clemens because he should only be looking at Watkins and not looking himself and then wouldn't have slowed down between second and third?

Rocco: "Jeffers! What the hell? Are you uneducated or unmotivated?"

Jeffers: "I dont know and I don't care!"

Vazquez doesn't hit and he ain't fast but he doesn't do stupid things.

1 pitch, 1 out - Willi, cmon

Willi has expressed gratefulness to the Guardians for trading him to a club that gave him a chance, to the Tigers for helping him to learn multiple positions, and he has loved his time with the Twins. I think Castro knows this is his last game as a Twin and that has got to be hard. More than any other expiring contract, I feel for Willi.
