Buxton and Correa out for injuries. The rest of the team as constructed just isn't good enough, you might as well trade any decent piece because right now its looking like the next 2 months are going to be rough. We will see how big of a sell off is completed in the next 24 hours. I feel like they should sell anyone and everyone not named Royce Lewis, Pablo Lopez, or Joe Ryan on this major league squad. They need a complete and total rebuild. Peter 1
S Bart Verified Member Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 I have been thinking about Correa standing on first base yesterday prior to being pulled, The vein was sticking out of his head, and he looked so OLD. His underperformance this year brings back memories when he stated after leaving the first time about having money to shop at some high-end store. I don't see him playing short next year...maybe 3rd....what a DUD in my view. GeorgeLooney 1
LakesPibble Verified Member Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 I don't think the ChiSox will catch us, but I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up the only team in the AL with a worse record this year.

What's he supposed to do? 4. It's ownership. What's he supposed to do? 5. They won a playoff series under this guy once. Pick one. Even as much as I fear that #2 would be true, they needed to can Rocco at the end of the 2024 season to try and find out how much a better manager could improve team performance. I suspect it'd be like firing the hitting coach - the hitting looks the same if not worse than last year, and Popkins is now the hitting coach of a top 10 offense. The team is just not very talented outside of a few very good pitchers and I think the farm system has done a poor job developing players and drafting / signing the wrong players... but that's also not a reason not to fire Rocco. Going into 2026 with him as a lame duck manager is beyond stupidity, but that's Falvey for you. The Great Hambino, UpstateNewYorker, MGX and 1 other 4

There owner is a skin flint like the Pohlads, not the team. At least they are developing some players that are as you said fun to watch. Patzky 1

What you expect him to say Pohlads are like having the MLB ownership equivalent of diaper rash, through and through. Like I said only owner with a worse reputation is the guy that owns the A's. I mean literally diaper rash compared to how other organizations are running there teams from fan experience to the players on the field. Vanimal46 1

I know Twins fans like to think the organization is well respected and they treat their players well...but I feel like that's just marketing much like Falvey's reputation and the Pitching Pipeline. If you were to trade Ryan and Correa to Houston it would still command a significant prospect in return. Honestly if thats how it panned out, if we got over pays on Jax and Duran I would be fine with it. You could do a proper rebuild. I've felt like we have continued to just try to toe the line of being a good team. We have a good farm system already, tear it down, get more prospects, have a good draft next year, and start rebuilding the team with the prospects and trades in the offseason.
