Rain delay. WTF

This is gonna be the White Sox game. Looks like a couple hours of rain anyway.

And yet....

I get it, but that has way more to do with the guys wearing the TC hats IMO. Call me bitter, but Cleveland has looked far from impressive this series. Their lineup is just as putrid as our own, and they can't even really use the injury excuse. Their rotation isn't nearly as good as MN's but their bullpen (when Clase isn't a meltdown waiting to happen) is probably better top to bottom.

If France keeps this up for 6-8 weeks, THEORETICALLY you have a lineup of Lewis, Correa, Wallner, Buxton, France, and have guys like Lee, Larnach, and Jeffers in the bottom of the order. They probably win enough to do what they always do at the deadline….neither buy nor sell. Sigh.

Problem with this thinking is... thinking Wallner. Correa, Buxton, Lee, Larnach and Jeffers are difference makers. When are we going to realize this team with these players is not capable of being relevant? Haven't they shown this over quite some time? All we do is bitch and complain and then we say, but wait until this guy comes back or this pitcher gets healthy or whatever. Even when everyone is healthy this is a mediocre at best line up and team.

Ha! But, without the ability to trade up using all of the following year’s picks.

Point being, you ain't getting a solid bat for $5M. Unless you're spending that on lottery tickets like Ty France and one of them hits. And even more to the point, you're not saving an offense with a veteran role player hired on the fringes. You need to spend at least twice that if you're going to get a legit offense boosting bat in Free Agency, a la Goldschmidt.

Signing Bader was a great, and I do mean great, use of resources and I'm gonna gloat over that for the rest of the season.

Uh huh, and you're locking yourself into a subpar offensive option and exacerbating an existing issue in the name of corner OF defense. I don't like the strategy.

May 1st is pretty early to be serving up Harrison Bader crow...

You’re forgetting….consistent and dependable mediocrity is the goal. “Competing” in what remains a bad division. Maybe that changes with new ownership. No guarantee it will.

But how many times have we actually seen all these guys on the field at the same time? Correa, Lewis, and Buck played like 25 games together last year.

Where everyone is above average, so is a .501 winning percentage.

Yes. But posting a .500-525 in the ALC means you’re really probably below average.

Vazquez is 2 for 12 on stolen base attempts this season for a solid 16.7% average

At this point in time, Vazquez is 3 of 13, or 23 percent, but he should be better.

I can’t read that. I need a full hour by hour breakdown including ads and other hyperlinks that take up an entire page!
