One of the many parts of modern baseball I would love to see more data on. In the old days you would not play infield in that situation.

Not sure they score if the infield isn’t pulled in, the worst it’s one run and the runner has to hold at second. Seems a little early to be pulling the infield in there, but that’s what the IPad says.

Ryan is horrible against any good lineup. First few years of his career spent against terrible Royals, Tigers, and White Sox teams in the Comedy Central have really inflated people's value of him.

Does it though? Seems like the Twins pull the infield in almost no matter the inning, or opposing pitcher. Game's within a run or two? Infield in.
