Pablo just about has to go seven innings today. The Red Sox and Twins should be equally worn down, but the Twins have played three straight extra-inning games.

mlbtraderumors.com has an item that Devers might be done for the year. It appeared last night that he couldn't get the ball across the infield and he didn't look good at the plate, so I am not surprised.

Doh, sorry to hear that.

I do remember a throw that kicked up and wasn't handled by the firstbaseman. Did that contribute to any of our runs?

I was just gonna comment that precipitation is relaxing to listen to, and as much as i probably should make an effort to celebrate pablo day in person, i probably am too lazy.

 

Also it sounds like the game for Floyd this evening is televised nationally, so i may not get another opportunity to watch the gophers?

Boston weather forecast isn't looking good. Wouldn't surprise me if they cancel the game today and play two tomorrow.

He has been injured for awhile now, they probably should have shut him down the moment the Sox fell out of the race.

I hope they are able to play.  I have a ton of faith that Pablo can deliver a long start, and maybe feasting on Boston's tired bullpen can get the bats ignited.

I'm fine with the entire bullpen getting a rest day. 🙂

Magic numbers entering today: Detroit 7, Seattle 6. The Twins win all playoff tiebreakers against the Tigers, Mariners and Royals based on head-to-head records, astonishing as that seems.

I don’t know if a postponement would be better or worse. Better immediately as the bullpen gets a day off and you would get to recall a  pitcher as an extra man. But then Pablo going tomorrow in game 1 cuts down on his next start.

Extra day for our bullpen, but extra day for theirs as well. I’ll take Pablo and a depleted bullpen over Crawford and a depleted bullpen.
