This game is going to embolden Ownership to cut payroll even more I predict. Especially after what Tigers pulled off. Twins lack the elite speed that Cleveland and Detroit have on defense. I have no idea why Farmer was shading to first base instead of up the middle on Ronny's first hitter. That was an interesting to illogical shift to say the least.  Routine ground ball with normal positioning or shading up the middle. Beginning of seasons end tonight.

Thats a little harsh considering Topa hasn't even pitched for the Twins yet.

Not harsh when you look at the other guys the front office has identified for the bullpen. Twins have 3 good arms out of how many (8? 9?), it is more likely than not the next person the same talent evaluators chose will be a dud as well.

We face a left hander tomorrow. Expect a weird line-up for that one. To many gut wrenching losses this year. Chalk this one up as another. Monday and today were sure bummers.

The nano-second he hit into the DP I said, 2 runs won't be enough. They will regret not getting one or two more. That DP was a dagger and paved the way for yet another crushing loss which this time may cause them to forfeit the final WC.

Just can't continue to blow games like this. But they do it. And its often against Cleveland. A miserable, miserable showing in the 10th in what should have been a lockdown, lets go home with a W game.

Option of Alcala on Tuesday instead of Henreiquez may be a nail in the 2024 season. I know hindsight but seems like a really bad decision now. If you are basing it off stuff and potential one guy has movement, the other throws flat fastballs.

Also when you trade one of your better hitters in the off-season it's important to get back pieces that contribute. We got 0 games out of the guys we got for Polanco. Epic fail by the FO.

We are not going to do anything as long as Joe Pohlad is running the team. He makes Carl look like a king.

FO needed to get some arms at the deadline, especially left handed pitching, and they did not deliver. Also not a fan of resting Buxton during one of the most important series of the year. Royals have a lower payroll than us but still made moves…. Make it make sense

Then why would you want the FO to make trades at a deadline with mediocre talent for help when we have a top 3 farm system giving away good talent for scraps.

The bullpen is on Falvey not ownership. Lack of balls to trade actual prospects for help is what led to this. Not $$.

Well, the OP did list Polanco, assuming that’s who the user meant, context is key.

Polanco’s 87 wRC+ in 2024 is 87, would be Minnesota’s 13th best hitter, right in the Margot, and Julien range. So “one of our best” is technically true, he wouldn’t be the worst hitter on the Twins right now
