Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 If you thought his being ejected last night was bad enough, buxton’s rehab is now stalled because of “hip discomfort” See ya in March, Byron. Could kind of use you, but not worth the risk if you aren’t 1,000% healthy. We’ll just roll with a minor league outfield. I don’t want to be called a loser again, so I’ll just say Godspeed young man Jerr, cheeseheadgophfan, USAFChief and 1 other 2 1 1
Jocko87 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 If Kiersey has indeed made it to the park on time he needs to be in the 9 hole for Martin against the righty. Someone catch the damn ball please. wabene, USAFChief, Aggies7 and 1 other 3 1

Correa almost for sure. Last we heard he hadn’t started running with spikes on yet. Then for sure a rehab. September 5, running out of time Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1

tony&rodney Verified Member Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Whether it was the hip or being blown away by the Omaha Cubs pitcher in two at bats, Buxton looked like a gummy was in order. Hope he feels better today.

After seeing the Keirsey news, I was hoping last time was the last time. But, less of a rookie > superior defender/platoon advantage rookie at a defense-first position.

I think Buxton's done after this last setback. It's amazing how brittle he is. As for Correa, I think the fact that they're in a good spot for the playoffs means they don't feel like they need to have him in a rush to contribute. Get as close to 100% as possible, come back for the final week of the regular season as the 'rehab assignment' and then be ready to go in the postseason. Of course, if Boston or Detroit ever wakes up and starts a run or the Twins really crater, then maybe that plan changes.
