GusGus11 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Ok, so I have finally this season come to terms with the fact that Christian Vazquez is going to play every other day. No matter how insane that is to type out. I've accepted it. Maybe since Jeffers has been ass for months that has helped with that. But what I cannot accept or understand in any form is why does Vazquez have as much immunity to being pinch hit for than Royce and Correa? I'm not kidding. We literally never pinch hit for the guy. There was a game this year when his OPS was .430 and bases were loaded in the 9th and we let him hit. This is rhetorical btw USAFChief and Road trip 2

PItchers are also less effective when they have an ass load of time off. They have to pitch eventually They cant just sit around and hope we play a game where we are leading by 1-3 in the 7th. That strategy hasn't worked for a week now.

GusGus11 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Great AB by Lee He's been getting a lot of 2-2 and 3-2 counts lately. But in his slump its usually resulted in a weak out or swinging at ball for a K Heck of a walk. USAFChief, Patzky, mrtwinsfan and 1 other 4

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 White Sox grab the lead 2-1 in the 4th This one’s in the bag
GusGus11 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I just don't get why Wallner isn't used here He walks more, he gets HBP way more and he has way more power Those are the 3 things you need in this situation. Road trip and mrtwinsfan 2

thelanges5 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Understand when a guy or two slums. But when it’s the whole team for two days in a row, is that just the Mets having a better plan and us not adjusting?

Ha sadly, they do Cause last week vs Philly we let him hit(per usual) and he drew a rare lead off walk. Then we promptly had Buxton run for him So logistically we essentially chose Vazquez bat over Buxtons in a tie game...
