I'm doing a self-imposed blackout on NY sports talk radio for the next three days. I meant to be back in Boston already so i could watch it, but i too am in upstate NY. I don't really listen to talk radio though, so i don't have to change anything. Listening though to game, and that is good enough for me. Don't like the rare example of targeting ads that seems to have tracked me down. UpstateNewYorker 1

Just terrible matchups all around. Thankfully it appears the Yankees will get one of the two first round byes. Winning the central would be the best way to avoid facing New York until the LCS. Maybe someone else could know them off. Who, I don’t know. Baltimore better not throw a wrench in to things and win the division This is the best team the Yankees have had in several years. They are third in runs scored, first in OBP, first in ERA, etc. And Garrett Cole hasn't pitched yet. Hosken Bombo Disco 1

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 This umpire has been grossly inconsistent on the edges all night and now he just got fooled and that could lead to bad things. Aggies7 1
OvertheHill Verified Member Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 I’m not typically hammering on ball strike stuff but I count at least 4 missed strike calls h2oface 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 That’s probably it for ober with that lengthy 5th. He didn’t do terribly, but 3 runs was always going to be way too many today

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 It is infuriating how many backwards K's these batters take. When I was a kid, I'd get sent to bed without supper if I watched a called 3rd strike. OvertheHill 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 1 lousy hit and maybe one other well hit ball. That’s it.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 So we have to score a run per inning more than the other team to catch 'em. How hard can it be? This team has had more than a few late inning comebacks this season. Ya gotta have hope! Patzky 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Gil could have gone one or two more. Yankees aren’t remotely worried about losing this game, up by only 3

One cannot paint that turd and make it prettier. There is no excuse for missing a pitch on the inside higher part of the zone to Judge. The plate ump is looking straight on at the ball and the zone. The most perfect view for any plate umpire looking over the inside shoulder of the catcher. SwainZag and TwinsCD 2
