This is the best team the Yankees have had in several years. They are third in runs scored, first in OBP, first in ERA, etc. And Garrett Cole hasn't pitched yet.

A bandbox dinger and a gnat's eyelash double are the two scoring plays.  He handled himself pretty well through 2 1/2 spins of that lineup despite all the nibbling.

He's missed calls on both sides, balls and strikes. Not saying things even out, each miss creates it's own situation, but yes, he's been bad tonight.

More wrongs, consistent wrongs, inconsistent wrong. Wrongs are never right. Never. Just more wrong. One cannot paint that turd and make it prettier.

There is no excuse for missing a pitch on the inside higher part of the zone to Judge. The plate ump is looking straight on at the ball and the zone. The most perfect view for any plate umpire looking over the inside shoulder of the catcher.
