Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 God I want to get excited about how we look right now but I’ve been hurt so many times lol

Willi is fine at second, He had played more second base than anywhere before he came to the Twins. He hasn't played second much for the Twins because of the personnel they have. Depending on who if off the team when Lewis returns, he may be asked to play there more. David HK, glunn and Twins_Fan_in_NJ 3
David HK Verified Member Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 Yeouch. Your debut with your new team, and give up a tater to the first guy. Although being DFA'd by the White Sox is maybe a red flag. glunn, ashbury, Longdistancetwins and 1 other 1 3

This isn't Little League where everybody gets to bat in a game. Getting 2 AB's in a game is not consistent playing time. Parfigliano, RpR and Shaitan 1 1 1

So naturally, I tune in now and find our Twins leading, what, 5-1? Because of course! You can sum up baseball in one word, and that word is "you never know". -- whose quote is this? (it isn't Yogi) Joaquin Andujar? Though I always thought it was spelled, “Youneverknow.” EDIT to add: I did have it before you gave the answer. I use the quote regularly. I think I remember it from a “They Said It” in Sports Illustrated. That was an awesome feature. ashbury 1

You need to develop players for the season not just one game. Julien has no chance against a lefty. Win the game - this isn’t AAA. We are in a dogfight in the division. You can't turn every young player into a part time player and that is what they are doing. Parfigliano 1
