No, but his personality and enthusiasm would help.

Who's this Pete fellow you speak of?

I don't know about that. Did you see last season at all????????

Yes, he batted .188 in the ALDS.

Not sure if the Twins entered this series with a plan to convince everyone that their .600 winning percentage was a fluke, but it's certainly turning out that way.

Fun fact:  Despite what any of Bally's ex-Twins say, you do not, under any circumstances, "have to tip your cap to the Yankees".  It's fine to acknowledge they're good while still giving them the finger.

Has a home team, trailing going into the ninth, failed to come out for the ninth, and just headed for the airport?

That would be inconvenient, in that they have a home game tomorrow.

20 years worth of futility.

It's got to the the meat. Once it spoils, it takes everything down around it, too. Smarten up Twins. Get rid of rotten meat.

Ah yes I thought I smelled something

No, but stick around... it's only the middle of May.

I'm gonna give 'em credit for at least 25, seeing as how David Wells Perfect Gamed the Twins' all-JV squad in '98.

And anyone who claims Wells was hung over during the game is damn liar, because he was still drunk.

It's been years of being pounded by the Yankees, quite frankly the playoffs are meaningless until you pull up the big boy pants and play competitively against them and the top teams in the AL east. This year Baltimore and the NYY.  They are like awe struck middle schoolers watching something that is beyond them... It doesn't pay to watch or even follow these series against the big bad Yankees.

Yep.  When protein-based good luck charms go bad, they go bad fast.

Ha. Yes.

I guess you missed game 1 against Toronto. The first win is 19 playoff games.

We did not play Toronto in the ALDS but I did see his 7 Ks against Houston.

As I said,  he is not a miracle worker.

When he comes back there will not be any real change except Miranda may go back down.

The game tomorrow , IF, the Twins are still playing like they are on downers, the series against Cleveland could be truly nasty.

If they pl;ay like they should, it is a long season.

The worst thing is the recent win streak by the Twins.  It gives them the false security of being able to turn things around if they fall behind.

Was at Yankee Stadium for that one, so, yes, I’ve seen a lot of miserable games against the Yankees that go back more than 20 years.  At least the perfect game was a novelty…

I don't know... One benefits from trying, and i wouldn't want them to ever stop trying.

So i am also okay with less of a sense of security, but they can always turn things around, Well... i hope they don't get dizzy.
