Spring training road game so most starters wont make the bus trip.

Wallner and AK can use ABs against a proven MLB starter

They faced Maeda today.

The good news is the Twins pitching was very good today, giving up 4 hits and 0 walks.

These games are practice. Guys working on things, etc…not a coordinated effort to achieve results in term of wins/losses.

Having said that, it’s apparent ERod (for one) is nowhere near ready. (In case anyone was thinking that he might be).

It’s an away game. Most of the backups or those who need to be evaluated or need work on specific things play in those games. It’s why ST game results are pretty meaningless at this stage.

Maeda is a proven MLB pitcher and a decent starter. Not sure what you meant by this. While our away lineup wasn’t our starters, Detroit had a home game, so they played a lot of their starters. Our lineup tomorrow, a home game, will be mostly our starters

Chris Williams continues to get chances behind the plate.  He's a sleeper prospect I keep an eye on now and then.

Overall, it's not apparent anyone is making much of a case to be added to the 26-man roster who isn't already somewhere on the likely-to-lock spectrum.

"It's only spring" but the trend toward having difficulty scoring runs (or even getting baserunners, today) remains in effect.

If they are poo in Spring Trainin they will be flushed in regular season; you are rationalizing

to excuse poor play or lack of talent.
