The first seven innings the  gents getting hits, except Castro,  were the ones some think should not be in the game, good sign for the post-season .

Falvey and Levine take grief - and rightfully so, but Solano and Castro were afterthoughts when signed but both of them have loomed large this season.

Another good game by the Twins. Twins got good starting pitching and the bullpen did well. Twins got some timely hits in 9th inning to win games. Twins are playing good as a team and everyone helps them win.

Happens to Duran and the other top relievers quite often. This one thing is no reason to sit Jax in the playoffs.

100% agree with you.  Per Gameday, Jax pitch was hit 91.3 mph, 36 degree angle and 330 ft,  Earlier Larnach hit a pitch with a runner on at 103.9 mph, 44 degree and 337 ft.  Missing the barrel of the bat is the objective of pitching.

Nice come-back win against a pretty good team.  The not-so-good news: 14 strikeouts and 3 hits in 7 innings against a good pitcher, Hunter Green.  They won't be facing many not-good pitchers in the playoffs and none at all if make it as far as WS vs. Atlanta.

I'm hoping to see both Stewart and Paddack in the majors in the next few days. It would be great to get each of them 3-4 MLB appearances before the playoffs.

Duran walked the leadoff hitter plus threw a wild pitch. By your standard, HE was pretty lucky today.

In September it seems like the Twins relievers allow the first batter to reach base 50% of the time.   Maybe it is a lot lower, but it cause angst every time they have have lead off walk or hit.

It isn't one thing, it's been 2 months of poor command. 

Honestly, if we are talking Duran, he hasn't been a ton better either, but not as bad as Jax

I think the 2019 Yankees are the only team with 13 players with double digit homeruns.

We can still win 90 games by going 9-0 the rest of the way.   ok that's not going to happen but with today's win we are guaranteed not to have a losing record.  I hope we make it to at least 87 wins.

Gonna end up clinching on the off day which is a bummer. Guards just phoned it in.

Whats crazy is we are actually gonna end up in way more of a race for the bye then the division. Bye wont happen though. Dont think we will try to win enough and Astros/Ms/Rangers play too many games vs each other its almost impossible to pass all 3.

Guards are down to their 'last strike'. They will be facing a very tired Orioles team with a gassed bullpen...after two real tough series against TB and Houston. Their pen finally just wore out today as Houston tied it in the 8th and won it easily in the 9th.

Jax has not been very good in recent weeks. Twins giving him every chance to get it together before the playoffs. He's got talent, but right now he is pretty shaky. Gotta say though that lately a lot of top closers are getting beaten. Its a long season. particularly for pitchers.
