Crap crowd for a team in playoff hunt

12:30 PM game time on a Wednesday.  Outside of an actual playoff game, I don't think many teams are drawing big crowds.

When Greene is on he looks like a true ace.  His problems are when control rears that ugly head.  Walks and HR tend to be a problem for him.

There is the homer

Hung the slider bad. Probably shoulda kept to pumping heat.

Greene has 14k's in 7 innings. Normally I'd say that's pretty impressive, but then he's pitching against us, so that tempers it quite a bit. I'd love to see Cincy pull him though.

They weren't big crowds for Monday and Tuesday either.

Taylor with the outfield blunders today

The throw to 3rd was insanely bad decision making

Literally could have caught that ball. And if not going to catch it made no attempt to play the bounce.

This is a painful announcing discussion.

The ruling was a swinging strike and dead ball once it hit his hand. I feel like Bremer should understand the rule.

I don't know if there are any rules about where the batter can hold the bat but the hbp strike is something they should know.

While Hawk and Dick can't seem to wrap their brain around the concept, the call reversal was correct based on the rule book.  We are all focused on the fact that the Twins got an out from the (non) play.

But the correct call is a strike.  He offered at the pitch (which makes it a strike), and then got hit on the fingers.  The play was dead at that point.

We may not like the rule, or like the outcome, but it is correct based on the rule book.

If he had bunted more successfully to score the runner, I suspect our bench would have reviewed the replay and may have asked for a review/reversal, hoping to change it to a strike.

On the tirple, one fielder should have gone for the ball and the other backed up if it bounced off of the wall.

2 veteran gold glovers. Communication perhaps?

That was a bizarre inning

It worked for Vazquez and Solano(kinda) but no lefty pinch hitters for them

But then we use Wallner as a damn 2 out pinch runner?!?! Julien even with the leg issue plays every day and isnt exactly slow

Dont you want Wallners power available down 1 for Farmer or Stevenson?!?!

I'd blame Rocco....  but of course he isn't on the bench today.

Yes, I'd like to see Wallner hit in the 9th rather than any of the scheduled hitters.
