Every division in baseball has at least 2, up to 4 teams trying to compete. Even a few desperately trying to win like the Angels and Reds, for better or worse. 

Then we have the AL Central. Where every team except the Twins wants to lose. Yet we still find a way to screw things up. It’s crazy.

Why? Because they have fewer wins? If they surpass the Twins, indeed. I’m not sure anyone in this division deserves to win, but the one with the highest number in the W column will head to the playoffs.

Because at the moment the Tigers seem to be playing with more energy than the Twins and the Guardians, and are beating them head to head.

They still have to have more wins at the end. Doesn't make them more or less deserving, imo. And as I said, I don't think anyone from the central is deserving, but the one with the highest number under the W column will go to the playoffs
