I feel like the Yankees, Mets, or Phillies, fanbase would boo Correa until he either played better or was forced to leave town.

Booing sometimes makes me feel better, but I have doubts it makes baseball players play better.

Sure, maybe CC doesn't care about boos. He's been dealing with them since the cheating scandal. Right now, I personally feel like he is just too comfortable making his $33MM a year and playing the way he does. If nothing changes, neither will he. Maybe if our fans put more pressure on him to perform, he would perform. Maybe if the Twins community overall perspective of Correa was negative, our GM/Coach would put more pressure on him to succeed given he is a main driver in ticket sales. My overall 10,000 foot view is that CC isn't accountable in anyway, shape, or form, for vastly underperforming given his contract, and that bothers me.

So booing a player and putting negative pressure on that player will force him to play better? Where in any walk of life does that work?

If all you had to do is put pressure on a struggling superstar, he'd be hitting .300

This is a forum, you better have some stats to back up your 'everyone' designation.

Fair enough. But I don't have stats for a "everyone" designation. I think it's apparent in the baseball industry that the markets I mentioned don't put up with BS, and the Twins market rolls over and just complains, no matter what happens. My point is if the fanbase held ownership more accountable, maybe things could be different. The fans are a primary source of revenue, and with that comes influence, but it doesn't seem like the Twins community wants to pull that lever.

Interesting take. I am wondering about examples of when this worked.

My main point is these fan bases hold their management accountable.

I don't have specific examples, but I think both you and I can imagine how a disgruntled fanbase can influence management's decisions.

Fan pressure never influenced management with decision making. They can see the results too. The only time pressure might speed up a decision is a case like Trevor Bauer. And the Dodgers acted quickly
