With regards to the late (and sometimes great) musical artist Meatloaf.

Starts with an "O".................

Opportunity

Opportunity leads to both success and failure; lack of enough talent means failure.

Nothing blocked their opportunity, they are already in  professional baseball, nothing stops them moving foreward but themselves.

Buxton needs to be on IL till he is 100% healthy.  Sure doesn't need a rest day since he did a lot of walking back and for dugout to plate to dugout over the weekend.

Baffled by Wallner not getting a run since being called up.

Buxton’s as healthy as he’s ever going to be. If you don’t play him now, you’re never going to play him.

I wouldn’t mind him coming off the bench some days, though. Like give Wallner DH today?

If the front office doesn't promote you or if manager doesn't play you once they do, there is no opportunity.

I say the second half starts tonight. The schedule is soft for a while, but not Oakland soft…not close. A’s and KC in a league of their own…sad, really.

I have a nephew with a PhD in dark matter physics. I went to his defense of his dissertation and understood very little of it

A VP I worked with had a son working on dark matter. I asked him to explain it to me in layperson's language. I walked out 20 minutes later and couldn't even fill a cartoon bubble with anything I understood.

Ones baseball talent brings promotion and playing time, or lack thereof; this is not grade school fairness, every one plays regardless of ability.

So you are saying Wallner is being given an opportunity right now? His talent is as good as Gallo, Kepler or Buxton right now. Larnach's talent is at least as good as 3 of the 4 right now. So I call BS on this comment.

I mean...I'd say the 2nd half started with the 1st game of the 2nd Half.

2nd half season record: 3-0.

Keep trying to justify running Gallo and Kepler out there every day. Opportunities are given to unproven commodities in cases where you know what your getting from the 1st 2 guys. Not much. And it's possible that Wallner might earn it if given a chance. He can't be any worse offensively. If he fails what have they lost? Same answer. Not much

His/their talent is as good as the Twins managers see it  to be, not you.

They know what he/they have shown they can or cannot do, you or those manager wannabes on the forum do not.

I wonder if these teams will no hit each other in the same game, since both offenses are so futile.

Harvey Haddix type game. It'll be a long night. 35-40 Ks

I am not justifiying anything; saying Player x, y, or z should not be playing because you or any one thinks some one else should be playing , does not justify that he should be playing either.

It is simple opinion.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing time after time (running Kepler and Gallo out there every night) and expecting different results.

Hopes and wishes don't win MLB games.

They do not make rookie unknowns good ball players either.

It is a fact, simple as that.
