I am by no means calling Carlos Correa a cancer - he is not - but he certainly has a strong personality that isn't going to be to everyone's taste. In Houston, it's easier for Correa to be himself and be part of the family and assume the role of leader in an organization he has spent his whole career with. In a new organization, like the Twins, individuals will need to make some adjustments or there will be conflict.

I think that if there were to be problems, it would be evident by now. With Lance Lynn, it was evident immediately. With AJ it was evident immediately with the Giants. While I wouldn't expect everyone to get along with everyone, it's when it becomes a distraction is when there are problems. There is no hint of that with Correa or they wouldn't have signed him a second time.

Honest question: does Rocco believe Solano is a better hitter against lefties than Kiriloff? I've seen nothing to suggest that. For all their supposed focus on advanced stats and matchups, some of these lineups are real headscrstchers.

We're starting 6 players I'd call at least slightly below average major leaguers. And as is often the case, it's by choice.

Yeah, I'm disappointed Kirlloff isn't in the lineup, but he's about the only lefty I want to see in there every day.

I think Kiriloff is too good a hitter not to have out there, regardless of the starter.  In my world, he only sits for an occasional rest or if he's hurt.

I don't dispute that many players might be considered below average, but the four-man bench has two guys out as walking wounded. Kirilloff and Kepler are healthy, and I wouldn't put Kepler in vs. the LH pitcher.

Part of its roster decisions - Wallner should be up instead of Garlick (and Kirilofff should be playing every day). The infatuation with these AAAA retreads is infuriating and needs to stop. It'll only get worse when Gordon's back.

Did AJ really just say "Two pitches and three outs" instead of the other way?

Thinking about it, that's actually possible now. Two one-pitch outs and then three pitch-clock violations on the batter on the first pitch (which never happens).

The automatic intentional BB they allow now makes it theoretically possible to do it in zero pitches.

The ghost runner on second during extra innings also invites the potential for fewer pitches than outs.

Three IBB, three pickoffs=3 outs, 0 pitches.
