Exciting! I'm a big believer in Kirilloff's talent. If the wrist is finally right (and I know that's a BIG if) he's a stud at the plate and should be a fine 1B. It's a good sign that he's starting a rehab assignment, IMHO.

Bad week for the opposition to face the Mighty Mussels. They think they are facing low A level players and could get Polonco, Kirilloff and Winder all in the same game.

No. I think Kirilloff’s rehab will have different criteria than Polanco. Jorge is a proven major league starter who needs to get back to speed. Kirilloff needs to demonstrate that he is ready to play by hitting like he has in brief flashes for the Twins.

Right … but once on a rehab assignment, I know you have to come off rehab by a certain time, but you don’t have to spend that entire time on rehab assignments right? Just long enough to be ready

Yes

Kirilloff and Polanco both had three at-bats and went 1-3. It will be interesting to see if both come back tomorrow and play.
