3 errors and a bungled rundown in 5 innings. Good lord.

I'd almost feel bad if it wasn't the Sox...

And that's not enough to have a lead...

Vintage Buxton makes that play.

Not sure about 2023 Buxton.

If we had Buxton, Correa, and Gallo we would have a lead.

Sheets made three mistakes on one play.

Five holed the ground ball.

Obstructed Wallner.

Cut off the throw from right field.

That’s impressive.

After the cutoff,  hecould have blindly sprinted to backup home plate and run over his ace pitcher.

We still have them.  They're just not playing.

In what way? Better BA? OBP? Stolen bases? Innings pitched? ERA?

Pitchers generally throw harder. There are more strikeouts.

But I don't think they're playing better baseball. They're certainly playing less of it.

Better athleticism. They throw the ball harder. Hit the ball harder. Run faster. Athletes in every sport run faster and jump higher. It's the progression of athletics. They're trying to max out the human body. If you're happy with just regular people playing baseball the way you like it to be played there's a whole bunch of high school and town ball teams across MN every spring and summer you're able to go watch for free. But you pay for the product because you want the best. The best means pushing the limits, and sometimes that means the body can't hold up.

Over/under for White Sox errors on the game: 200. Which way would you bet?

I'll take the under but not by much.

Impeccable, your timing is not! 🤣

Too bad I'm just listening on the radio.  I kind of want to see this gong show called the White Sox defense.

I'm only following the game thread, which is my fault, but I'm right there with you.

Anderson is out.

I hate to see a guy get hurt, but when it's done by his own teammate and while slapstick sound effects play in the background it does soften the internal conflict.

Pitchers are throwing 6 MPH harder than they used to and spinning the ball with twice the movement they used to. You're going to lose more games if your starters are throwing no sliders and 88 MPH fastballs, than you will be limiting their innings. Can't go back to 1980's baseball unless you want to watch the Twins win 40 games a year.

With that angle, the go back to angle..... How about going back to the 60s and 4 man rotations and win 90 to 100 games a year? And every year, no matter what the style or year, some teams are going to use the norm of the day to win 90-100 games, even if it isn't the Twins.

Ahhhhhhhh. You can't go back.

I was just about to say that, but luckily hit screen-refresh.

Larry threw the ball to Moe, who inexplicably threw back to Larry, who spun blindly and tried to throw the ball past Curly, who was blocking third base.

Don't make it weird.

I thought making it weird was what Chief was here for.

Have I been wrong all this time?

I’d go with Pinafore.

The one designed to encourage independence of thought in the lower leagues?

Or the other one, expressing an official utterance?

I guess either could fit.

Well, it is, but we don't tell him that.

Maeda wasnt great but 6 IP with one bad inning isn't terrible either.

Let's steal one here

Stealing sounds like a better option than begging or borrowing it.
